I will neither confirm nor deny until I find a way to get at least one of said bottle home with me.

I will neither confirm nor deny I have a sample of said expression which has been (or not) bumped up in the tasting lineup.

Shared some of that Mortlach 22 with Fortney last night. Holy cow, that is good stuff. #5159.

Still sealed. With great pours like that, I tend to open them when I have someone I want to share it with. Are they pretty similar. I won't be able to do a SBS because I left the sample with him to further his malt education, but the flavor will definitely be in my memory.

Has anyone tried the new Mortlachs? I saw the Rare Old in the fancy glass case they designed the new bottle for, but $130? NAS? What a shame.

No, but for my birthday earlier this week, I splurged on a Signatory (Binny's) Mortlach 21 CS (1990) for $100. Excellent first pour and I expect it to only improve as it gets to breath a bit.

Kind of hard for me to imagine the new NAS being so magical as to justify that sort of price...

I looked for them in Amsterdam recently but no luck. Price is indeed excessive, although as Joe notes, the bottle is danged purdy, I just wanted to try one for myself. Alas, no luck.
