Bulleit rye glut

With the current rye boom I was amazed after reading some posts from 2 years ago how bulleit rye was selling for up to $35. In my market, Minneapolis, it is everywhere on sale for $18. On the other hand sazerac is hard to find and the price is only rising to $35+ as well as rittenhouse which goes for $25-$30.

Around Wash DC, Bull rye goes for $22 on sale (Montgomery County MD) but goes for around $30 in WDC and for $33 at VA ABC stores. I see it regularly on shelves; no shortages are apparent.

Maybe because it doesn't taste as good as the others to most?

It's been my favorite mixer lately, especially when im making a sazerac... Can't beat the value at $35 for a 1.75.
