NICE MTNBourbon

Settling down with a heavy pour of JDSB. Im clearing out all my old (open) stuff before I crack some new stuff.

Larceny for my second pour this evening. Tried my hand at vatting equal parts Forged Oak, OWA and Whistlepig. Not worth repeating. I was trying to add some complexity and depth to the FO. Swing and a miss. The Larceny is making up for it though.

First pour was 4RSBLe2012, delicious. Now my second is EC21 and it is hitting all the right notes, even more delicious.

Finally opened this antique up for a taste. One of the better Beams I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. 261aa9412842b8d0955913eed7aee9db.jpg

Wow, that's a beauty.

As for me, I'm enjoying some OGD114.

My first was a FRSB OESO and my second is a Willett pot still. The latter has really grown on me.

Had a Blanton's with dinner after lining up a mule to smuggle in a Blanton's SFTB from Japan.

Only tasted it once before...it seemed to have more heat this time than what I remembered.

I've been going through some FRSB private picks recently. They are all pretty good and it helps that some learned drinkers picked them. It really sucks that the SB prices seem to be going up though. One of the picks was almost $70 out the door.

Hard to go wrong with a FR SB, especially when a learned drinker picks the barrels. ;-)

SAOS, 8 yr old pick from a local store. Very nice way to end the day.

Interesting! I didn't realize a Houston area store had done a SAOS private pick, mind sharing store and proof?

My boss and I had to break into my desk whiskey (RHF). It was one of those days . . .

I am so tired of this winter! A little ECBP 132.4 to take the edge off. This is just too good.
