WT 81, which was quite the disappointment when I explicitly told the waiter "If you have Wild Turkey 101 - NOT Wild Turkey 81 - I'll have a double, neat; If it is Wild Turkey 81 - check to see what bourbon or whiskey you have that is 100 proof or more". At first sip, it was clear it wasn't 101 (or, they @#$%'d up the "neat" part of the order). *sigh* Can't wait to get home to my cabinet :)

Went out for dinner with some friends and had a couple of pours of OWA. It's nice to have a restaurant around here with something other than the usual suspects to choose from.

More snow and ice to clear yesterday, but after working at it a while, I sat down with a nice big pour of OGD114 (a real muscle-relaxing double) to watch the Celtics game already in progress.

They're so far out of first place it's not funny, but they were playing Atlanta... started out when I turned the TV on down 14 points and unable to catch up at all until halftime, then they started catching up in the third, then it started getting exciting with three minutes left in the fourth quarter... time running out... and then a buzzer-beating basket to win the game by a point!

Un-be-lieve-a-ble! I've watched a lot of Celtics games over the years, and it felt like there was just a little spark in a team that's been lackluster all year. Just what I needed to improve my mood.

Tonight I'm having tea with just a touch of honey and Larceny before bed.

Had one heck of a night out with some colleagues. Started at a local whiskey bar for dinner and drinks and started with the bars own barrel selection of Russel Reserve Single Barrel. Surprisingly I found it to be not as good as my own bottle I finished a few months back. Then went with the bars barrel selection of KCSB which is excellent. I know from someone involved in the selection process that this one has an extra year of aging on it. I get a salted caramel thing with this one that is just excellent. Then, due to a small mistake by our server, she brought out fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and OGDBIB on the house. I never would of guessed it, but the OGDBIB was a fantastic complement to the cookies.

We then moved on to a different establishment and I tried Noah's Mill, which I've never had before. Have to say I was disappointed in this one. Has that cardboard thing going that I pick up on a lot of KBD products (except for the Johnny Drum Private Stock).

The revelation of the night was chocolate chip cookies with OGD. This needs to be repeated.

Started tonight with OWA store pick from Tippin's in Ann Arbor, MI. Typical OWA profile with a better palate than a finish, which invites more sips. But after that, a pour of '14 ORVW. This is OWA magnified 20x with a finish that lingers long enough to contemplate it.

A little Larceny followed by a big pour of CEHTSB. Getting towards the bottom of that one and I'm happy to have another on deck.

OGDBIB in me coffee waiting to see what the weather brings next. Right now we have sunshine, no wind, and temps are supposed to get into the high 50's. Now tomorrow is supposed to be real cold.

I would buy an OWA, limit one, for $24.99 or even a little more if I could find one! :skep:

Not sure where you are in IN, but OWA is all over Illinois and has been for long time.

Just had a late breakfast, steak and eggs. I usually enjoy a wheater with my weekend breakfast, but today I cracked a '00 EWSB. It's quite good, somewhat spicy and sweet. I think the last time I bought any EWSB, was with the '02 bottling. I tried a couple different barrels, but just didn't care for them. This '00 barrel reminds me how good it can be. I will seek out some '05 next time I'm in a buying mood.
