Cold out. Warming up with more of a 50/50 blend of EWSB and HH 6 Yr BIB .

I really want to try this, but dang it, I can't talk myself into diluting the 6yr.

Finished shoveling out from the latest insult to our existence up here in The Mitten State. Now, I'm pouring myself a reward for all that cold hard work, in an unforgiving environment... windy with gusts around 25 mph, temps dropping through the teens eventually (they say) to minus 10 tonight! I'm fortifying myself with a decent pour of Heaven Hill Select Stock (SB pick from a year ago-plus, a barrel-proof wheater that's cognac-barrel-finished), so if I need to, I can go back out and shovel what is yet to fall... or whatever blows back onto the walk/driveway/porch, etc. I must say the shoveling was no real fun; but this HHSS is just WONDERFUL! Almost worth the effort that preceded it.... Almost.

Having a pour of ER17 on the patio on this fine 70 degree evening. Filet on the grill soon, lobster to go with it. Then we hunker down the ice and snow coming tomorrow night and monday night.

Great minds think alike (or at least our do anyways!) After some stellar rye pours, followed a nice steak dinner with some HHSS (first SB pick). Doesn't get much better than this!

I hate to rub it in on you northeastern boys, but we got a fire going, some steaks for fixing to hit the grill and a sweet potato, and it's 58 degrees........ Oh yeah, I'm drinking some OS seven-year-old.

HaHa! I understand! Both are find on their own. I know HH 6 Yr BIB gets a lot of love in the forum and I understand because I like it as well. However, there are times when I want something a little lighter but not quite as light as EWSB. I have enjoyed this blend. Just finished the last 3 ounces tonight.

We had the same scenario last weekend. Enjoy the weather, but more important, enjoy the food and bourbon!

Sometimes just thinking about bourbon while I am shoveling makes the work easier.

Just poured my 2nd 3 finger of HH BIB 6yr. Got it for $9.99 today so I figured I should drink as much as I can.

Between the weather reports from Richnimrod and dcbt I'm getting whiplash. Suppose I need to treat it with some bourbon. Don't know yet what I'm drinking tonight, but my brother in law is visiting so as soon as we finish dinner, it will be on. Much to taste. HHSS#2 is definitely on the docket. Also have some VWFRR along with the ER10/WP10 vatting for a sbs.

Just started with Stagg Jr. Batch 3.
What is the proof on this one? I ask because I have someone holding one for me and I saw your review. If the proof matches with your review, then I will pick it up. Otherwise, I will tell him to not hold it for me. Edited by mbroo5880i

Met some friends before a wedding earlier, had Makers with a couple of cubes. At the wedding it was either Jack or Crown, went with Jack on the rocks. Got home and now on second pour of EC 12 yr with a big ass cube. Bedtime is calling...

On this frosty morning in Michigan, I had a nice pour of WLW 125.3 after a small sips of Ardbeg Airigh Nam Beist and FRSB from about a decade ago. Now on to the coffee.

My wife went on a photo shoot this morning I may accompany her this afternoon to see some Bald Eagles and ducks.

Nice pour of ETL Commemorative. Like liquid candy, and reinforces that bourbon doesn't have to get up above 12 yrs to be rock solid (at least for me!)

Having an after lunch pour of ETL while watching the Professional Bowlers Association, Tournament of Champions on tv. The tournament is being held at one of my old bowling haunts, Woodland Bowl, in Indy. Brings back some fond memories.

I used to bowl in a late night league at Woodland Bowl back in the '80s. Back in the day when cigar and cigarette smoke permeated the air.
