Couldn't decide what to pour after freezing my ass off cutting the grass for the first time in 2015. (The temps aren't terribly low but the high winds made it feel pretty damned chilly.) I figured I'd go for the high octane before the kids got home from school, so WLW (2009) was the call. Good stuff but that's the end of the yard work! :)

I mowed for the first time today too, the wife gave me crap for mowing the lawn in my winter jacket. those winds made it quite cold! unfortunately, no WLW for me tho, KCSB and EHTSmB had to do, but def not complaining about it.

That's similar to going from the whiskey bars in the Detroit burbs where you get 1 ounce for $5 and up back to my small home town where you get doubles and trips for 3 or 4 bucks.

Having my first pour of JBBIB and I rather like it.

Four Roses OESQ. Tonight it tastes like bananas foster with chocolate drizzled on top. As of right now, this is tied with FRSmBLE2013 for my favorite bourbon of all time. I wish I had bought a few more of these, but am happy to have an extra in the bunker at least.

ec12. this is a very nice pour. sweeter then i was expecting but i love it!

sounds about right, decided to have a pour or 2 of this now after the jbbib

Finished off a bottle of SAOS7 and now having some HWMD for a night cap. The HWMD just keeps getting better and better every time.

I was turned off by EC12 the first time I had it. I thought to myself, all these people raving about it, I don't get it! well, I revisited it again recently and can't believe how much it changed. Absolutely fantastic. Definitely my go to pour along with SAOS7.

Agreed, so good for the price.

Switched up to some 1792 and decided I need to find some more of this for the bunker as well.

You know. I always see 1792 (along with the small batch) on the shelf but never bothered to pick up a bottle. Need to give it a go.

Agree... I really enjoy the HWMD. Some great piney mint, I love it.

EC12 and 1792 seem to exhibit some consistency issues. I have had EC12s that I love and others that were just meh. Several 1792 reviews seem to echo that experience and they also seem to be a popular store pick bottle these days so the samples going to stores for picks must be all over the flavor map.

Back on topic 4RPS OESO

Agreed, so good for the price.

Similar to what I get out of my OESQ, a damn nice pour!!

Well.. after getting my CEHT box today.... had to follow it up with... CO, then SB, then SmB, and finally some BP, then went outside the reservation and had me some FR SB, still not done yet either... got some creating to do.
