Several nice pours of JBBIB and then raided the basement stash of a $31.99 bottle of Baby Saz for a nitecap.

I really liked the JBBIB I had the other night. The local convenience store told me he had a bottle when I picked up my 3 bottles of OGD114, hope he still has it.

Finishing off my bottle of MMCS. Really enjoyed it so far, not sure about the price though.

Wild turkey Kentucky spirit with a cigar. Not my favorite bourbon but it will do...

I am enjoying the second pour of a vatting I did about a week ago. I liked it so much, I put a 20oz blend together two days ago. I am really liking this mix.

I used 60% Rebel Yell at 80 proof and 40% Makers 46 at 94 proof. I do not know how to calculate what the proof is now, but it's dam good!

Love both picks of ER10/101 and Little Feat! I enjoy many of their albums and think they are an underappreciated band.

A pour of JBBIB after running some errands. Hoping my local store gets their JBBIB order in before this bottle runs out.

Decided to crack open my new BT bottle I bought today to compare to JBBIB. Thinking I like the JB better but both are good obviously.

Having a great pour of HM BiB 10y old. Love this bourbon.

I don't think I have ever seen any HM stuff up here in MI but it does show up as able to be sold on our list.

Let me help you:

60% 80 proof + 40% 94 proof =

(.6 * 80) + (.4 * 94) =

48 + 37.6 =

85.6 final proof

Tried my first George Dickel tonight, a private barrel selection at the restaurant I was at tonight. Not too bad, but not sure I enjoyed it enough to look to pick up a separate bottle. Will look to try the 12 yr next time.

Started last night off with some EC12, which is almost always a solid pour for me.

Followed up with some EHT BP. Very glad I picked up a couple more bottles of it while I could.

Just so you know, the "#12" is not 12 years old.

Started with a blind SBS of Blantons and a Blantons barrel selection. Both were fantastic. The slight nod went to the store pick. Finished with an OGD 114.

Thank you my friend. Now I understand how it's done. Just off the top of my head, I was thinking that it is about 87%.

I've been on a bit of a Little Feat kick lately, having picked up a few (semi-legit?) European import CDs of radio broadcasts recorded in the mid-70s. My goodness. What an amazing group of talented musicians. When they really hit a groove, I believe they could go toe to toe with any other band of the era. As a sidenote, a friend once saw them around 1976 and the Rolling Stones showed up and stood in the wings watching them perform, not wanting to sit in the front rows which would have created a bit of a ruckus. He said the looks on their faces told the whole story, as they appeared to be having the time of their lives and were gob-smacked by how damn good the band was. Underappreciated, indeed!

..... Finished with an OGD 114.

I finished off last night the same way but since I woke up with an unfinished pour I am thinking I didn't need it.
