Eskwar
I've been on a bit of a Little Feat kick lately, having picked up a few (semi-legit?) European import CDs of radio broadcasts recorded in the mid-70s. My goodness. What an amazing group of talented musicians. When they really hit a groove, I believe they could go toe to toe with any other band of the era. As a sidenote, a friend once saw them around 1976 and the Rolling Stones showed up and stood in the wings watching them perform, not wanting to sit in the front rows which would have created a bit of a ruckus. He said the looks on their faces told the whole story, as they appeared to be having the time of their lives and were gob-smacked by how damn good the band was. Underappreciated, indeed!Love seeing music talk creep into bourbon threads! One of my favorite bands is Breakestra, fronted by Miles Tackett, son of Little Feat's Fred. Recommended for hip-hop heads and funk & soul enthusiasts. On topic, I'm currently enjoying some SAOS 9 ("Barbie Doll"), an old sample from a good friend. I've got some squirreled away for another SB-er in Houston, but if he doesn't get on the stick soon, his sample will be going the way of mine. flahute
Followed up my OBSK with an even bigger pour of OBSK. Finished the bottle as it is hitting all notes superbly this evening. There are plenty of backups for this one so there is no lament.Hello to the gazebo. I can only imagine how much fun you guys are having and the quality of the stories being told. amg
A nice little pour of RHF. The earthiness of this one makes it the most unique of the BT mash bill #2 bourbons in my opinion. Very nice and musty, at just the right proof. Too bad it's gotten so expensive and scarce.
