Rearranged my display cabinet tonight. Figured I'd pour some 4R 125th while I was at it. Phenomenal! Too long since I've had a pour. Picking up some burnt brownie I've never noticed before.

Finished off the last pour of my ND OGDBIB... It's was a winner from the first pour to the last.

Evan Williams BIB. Probably my favorite bourbon under $50 that is readily available. I sure would like to find some of the Heaven Hill 6 year, I've never seen it before in Chicago or Michigan.

Vegetal VOBBIB? Never got that, jonhalter. But I do endorse the use of Coke Zero with bourbons I can't otherwise consume. And, speaking of things some people cannot handle, tonight for the third night in a row I'm hitting the on sale @$21 per 750 Knob Creek. What's wrong with me??

That's a rhetorical question, y'all.

Some HHBIB straight from the freezer. It's like a bourbon Popsicle.

A nice rocks glass of Mellow Corn. Every time I have one (about 2-3 times a year), I wonder to myself "why don't I drink this more often?".

HH 6yr is distributed here. You might try calling some stores in NW Indiana and see if any of them carry it.

Tried the 2014 OFBB again and enjoyed it more this time than when I opened it a couple months ago.

Then went with SAOS 7 store pick and once again reprimanded myself for enjoying it so much even though it is an NDP.

Then went with some of my vatting of 80 proof ND BDL and CEHTBP that someone here recommended. If you have the stuff, you should try this because this is a very good way to enjoy the ND flavor but with a higher proof level that takes away the watery feeling I get from 80 proof stuff. I am too lazy to look upthread to see who recommended this but whoever it was, thanks -- it's great.

Prepared a FR barrel proof tasting for when I finish up some work I brought home. The wife surprised me with this barrel stave glass holder and two new Glencairns.

Sweet! Totally cool Tucker. My good friend Vosgar reminded me just a few days ago of a quote from Pieface (Morgan). "You're just a bloke punching above his weight." There are a few of us here that resemble that remark. We fortunately married really good ones. Kudo's to you, and to your wife for giving you a really great gift.

Cheers! Joe

Nice Bill. I really like ETL. Good choice. That's what I'm having this evening too. By the way, how'd you shoot?

Cheers! Joe

The bottom of a chilled WT101 bottle.

W12 neat and room temp now, quite a change from the chilled WT101

Ran through several different pours during the GBS Executive Board Meeting this evening with our Mergers & Acquisitions Team. Of all the fine and (some pricy) selections, the highlight was the opening of my second Beam Bonded. What a nice surprise this whiskey has been for me this year. It punches well beyond its weight, and is turning into a staple in my rotation.

Good one. I'm pouring some Bonded Beam from tupperware. Accidentally squashed that cheap f'n lid.

Shot an 82 which I'm pretty proud of considering the time between rounds. The ETL helped with the aches and pains of unused muscles :)

When you wake up at 6am and head to the kitchen only to find yourself sloshing in standing water in the living room, is it too early for whiskey?

Dude, that's awful. What the hell happened? (And no, it's not too early for whiskey!)

No it's not too early. Lemme guess. Broken washing machine hose or a busted water heater? Hate that you are having the issue no matter what it is and hope it's not too serious.
