Yeah, the BIB is a dusty. They did have a label approved recently for a limited release that's bottled in bond though.

Right...the "Whiskey Row" series...I knew about that one coming up. I'd like to get my hands on one of those and of the barrel-proof one as well.

An old friend was in town for the weekend. Friday night we dove deep into Tornado and '11 PVW15. It had been awhile since I had poured either of these, damn they were both so good. Both were hitting all the rights notes.

OGD 114 (continues to blow me away with how good it is)

Dickel 9 (very Flintstones vitamin, but I am enjoying it a bit for how unique it is)

Dusty OGD 86 (ahhhh, nice even at the lower proof point)

SAOS 8 store pick (enjoying this one a great deal, very fruity in a good way)

Had a pour of a Harlan Wheatley selected store barrel of ER10 last evening, with a pour of the new HW Bourye the previous night. This is a very nice barrel of ER10 that I have a couple of bottles left from.

As to the Bourye, I did quite like it, but think it needs some airtime to improve. I don't think it is quite worth the current going rate of around $70, but it is good stuff IMO. I got more of the rye influence than the bourbon influence, and it struck me as a high quality bourbony rye, somewhere in between Ritt 354 and VWFRR (closer to the VWFRR).

Worked from home today so enjoying an unusual early evening pour or two instead of fighting rush hour traffic. 1oz each of 2013 WLW and 2013 GTS. These didn't hit me the right way when I first got them but a year and a half later and they are phenomenal.

2 big pours of SAOS10 for each of me and my wife as we are watching Silicon Valley and Game of Thrones from last night that we DVR'd. This is hitting me very well tonight, super smooth and buttery with a nice long finish and just the right amount of burn.

Having some EC 12 and HMBiB 10y. Both are good but I like the HM more.

Small pour of EWSB 2005, a medium velvety mouthfeel, spice, caramel, moderate heat, medium finish. Not too oaky. I like it. And while I am drinking that, a larger pour of Booker's Big Man Small Batch, that is tasting great.

- new holland beer barrel bourbon + OGD114 + EC12 = 96pf and better than NHBBB by itself thankfully

- OGD114 + Rittenhouse = 107pf and yummy

Started with Beam Signature Craft 12 yr. It has finally transitioned from being thoroughly unenjoyable to palatable (with temporary moments of enjoyment).

Following with the suddenly enjoyable to me EC12 and it's a clear improvement in flavor.
