EWBIB. Giving it a full shake in the interest of deciding between it and VOBBIB for the Tough Choices game. It's coming on pretty strong, but didn't do so until near the end of the pour. I'm still going with VOB for now, but if EWBIB can give me this flavor right from the first sip, we'll have a tough fight for that choice.

Mrs TT and I have been on a three week marathon of streaming all seven seasons of SOA and last night I had consecutive nice pours of Rhetoric, Barterhouse, 4RSmb13LE, and 4RSB12LE.

While all were so good the 13LE won the night. Start season 7 tonight and plan on making it an EC night (12yr, SB, 21 yr, 23 yr).

The EC23 won the night and I had to go back for a final 3 finger pour to celebrate the winner.

had a company outting so my choices were basil hayden's, KC, JB or MM. stuck with KC the entire time and then noticed they had Ri, so tried some of that, and it wasn't bad actually.

Had OFBB13 the past few nights and either it or my taste buds have changed. I am not getting the usual almond butter that I have been getting. Only a few pours left and I will move on to the OFBB14.

Attaboy Joe! Pulled a LB select Hancock's out of the bunker tonight. We don't talk about this one a lot, but I'm going three fingers in...

One of my faves from this year, Paddy!!! Good on ya!

MMCS is doing the job after mowing the lawn that was up to my knees. Guess I wont be skipping a week again any time soon.

Something I never thought would happen but it has. I'm drinking Wild Turkey and I like it. I've tried every current expression with the exception of the ryes and Diamond and just couldn't make myself like it.

A couple of months ago I was in Atlanta for the day and a couple of SB'rs put me on a spot there for some single barrels this shop had selected.

I bought a couple of 4R PS's and was going to pass on the Russels Reserve due to past experience with WT but the owner convinced me to taste it. Glad I did. I bought a bottle and just opened it today, I could get used to this!

Now maybe one day soon I'll open that bottle of Diamond I bought on a whim....

Tiny pours of MM46, OWA SB, WSR...and they all taste of butterscotch. Crazy palette night for sure.

Enjoying my first pour of Old Forester Signature in years. A little hot up front, but after it calms down a bit, a really nice version of the OF flavor profile shines through. Another great $25ish bottle.

Crazy palette night for sure.

That's what I've been thinking about mine tonight Phil. Drinking Barterhouse and getting some over-the-top sweetness along with cinnamon. Could be the garlic and olive oil vermicelli I had for dinner

That's an interesting phenomena that I experience too, from time to time, Phil. Why we get super-sensitive/receptive to certain profiles across distillery lines mystifies me. Butterscotch is a big one that comes up big some nights for me. The other is Goetze's caramel creams as well as an orangy citrus note. But, it never lasts more than a session. I quit trying to figure out the whys, and just ride the wave!

The other night everything tasted like cocoa to me. Very interesting thing indeed.

Thanks for mentioning that, Andrew. Cocoa is another one for me, too.

Trying a sample of a local FRPS OESK that one of the folks working at the store set aside for me out of his own bottle (I gave him a hefty sample of Port Askaig 19 in return. Hopefully he found that equitable). Not as sweet as they've picked in the past, which makes it interesting and unique compared to the GS OESK I've got put away. I think I'll buy a bottle.

A nice pour of ECBP after watching my caps get bounced from the playoffs. Uggg.

OGD BiB with friends. I prefer the 114 but BiB is more acceptable to others who don't drink bourbon as often as I do.
