Game of Thrones pour was ETL. Really hitting the spot tonight.

Valar morghulis.

I went with a big 3oz pour of Fighting Cock over a large ice ball while watching GoT and waiting for Mad Men to download. That is still going terribly slow so I guess I will be watching it tomorrow night instead. Now I have to decide if I am going to bed or pouring something else to watch Battle Creek.

Had some FRSB OBSV with the wife. I loved it and she thought it was good but prefers more of the Beam profile. Had a finish of sweetness and cherries that I didn't remember when I first opened it a few weeks ago.

Hey bigtoys, what came in 2nd and 3rd for you guys?

we all agreed the recent Binny's barrel selection was #2 and the 2013 LE was #3

Started the night with a pour of Noah's Mill that I purchased last year. I really hope this gets better with "air time" because right now I get the same wet cardboard thing I get with other KBD's (with the odd exception of Johnny Drum PS).

I needed to redeem the evening so I got into the 4R 125th for the first time in a long time. This is one of the finest bourbon's ever made (in my limited experience's opinion). Dang. Followed up with the 4R LE SmB '14 which is fantastic in it's own right.

After spending three days cleaning my palate with OGDBIB (yum, yum) I brought a bottle of ETL and CETHSB out of the bunker.

The ETL really tasted sort of bland but the CETHSB was much better. Not over twice as better though.

After watching the final scenes of GoT and Outlander this weekend, I really needed a a couple of good pours.

Went with HH last night after a long day of moving the in-laws... ECBP, EC18 and finished with EC12.

Cracked open the new bottle of BT. For my tastes this is the best sub 100 proofer around. I just wish it was more readily available here.

Finished off a bottle of HW American Prairie Reserve tonight. Not a bad bottle at all.

Started off with a couple of pours of ETL, followed by a healthy pour of W12. Thought about going with some EC12 in the middle, but it's Monday. A little early in the week for a 4-pour night.

Opened up my first bottle of JBBIB. I am really liking it! Reasonably priced. Gets the JB distillery profile down to a tee. No frills, good bourbon. Glad this is on the shelf.

What are your thoughts, on the mix, with respect to flavor profile?

It will be a one off... but, it's actually grown on me. I will enjoy the approx 650ml I have left and then it will be a footnote in my memory bank.

Given the difficulty in obtaining OWA/W12, as well as the high cost of the WP, I'd not go so far as to recommend others follow my lead on this one.

There are far too many more readily available, and cheaper, ways to reach a similar profile (maybe Old Fitz/Larceny blended with Ritt and WT or KC rye).

Just bought a handle of BT and 2 750's of Barterhouse. Couldn't resist after reading reviews that it is SW product. Opened one of barterhouse and found it really enjoyable.

RR Barrel Selection again. Had my hand on a bottle of RHF but talked myself out of opening another. It'll still be there when I'm ready.

On second thought that may be the bottle I take with me on a trip to the Outer Banks this weekend.
