Rounding out my trip through Bourbon Country, I'm enjoying a pour of Russell's Reserve ST from GPS I picked up this morning. Another fantastic bourbon.

EWBIB and JBBIB.

Finished of my bottle of VOBBIB last night. I have to agree with Jonhalter. Not sure if I'll be buying second bottle of it. Too bad as to it's easy to find around here.

It's been RR, 4RSmB 2014, and now EWSB2003 which is definitely not punching at the weight of the others. Low proof just doesn't do it for me

A while back I mentioned that neighbor Dan had stopped by to drink some of my bourbon. He complained that he had tried some WT but it had not backbone and was like 57 proof. So I asked him to bring some over the next time he came. Dan showed up with a bottle of WTRB. Yep. No backbone. And like 57 proof. C'mon man!

 sounds like 151 is the drink for him!

After reading all the praise on this forum for Smooth Ambler, it inspired me to pick up a Smooth Ambler Old Scout 7 year about a week ago and open it up. I know I'm new to the forum, but after having that Old Scout 7, I think I love you guys...

SB.Com HHSS #1 and #2. The tug-o-war for my favorite between selections #1 and #2 continues. I thought the extra finishing time of 2 had given it an extra richness over 1 in previous tastings. But tonight, 1 is more round, and with an extra heft that doesn't go to the hot side. It's clear, these are both magnificent whiskies, that just sparkle at different times and changing environments.

Some HHBIB straight from the freezer. It's like a bourbon Popsicle.

At a restaurant bar tonight, along with a grilled pork chop & slaw, I had a neat WR and for dessert a neat BT.

Edit: Home again, home again, jiggity jig. Finishing up a half ounce of KC. Fourth night in a row for KC - I am SICK!!

And loving it.

I was in the mood for a cocktail tonite. So I whipped up a batch of smoked honey whisky sour mix.Mixed it with WT101. 2 parts WT to 1 part mix. Quite tasty and refreshing. Enjoying my second now.

Cracked open a FR OESO this evening. Binny's bottle, one of the 10 recipes for the icons of whiskey collection FR did.

with a light sash of water, a very nice dram. Generally, the first pout from a fresh bottle isn't always the best for me, so I'm looking forward to this one blooming some more.

A nice rocks glass of Mellow Corn. Every time I have one (about 2-3 times a year), I wonder to myself "why don't I drink this more often?".

Evan Williams BIB. Probably my favorite bourbon under $50 that is readily available. I sure would like to find some of the Heaven Hill 6 year, I've never seen it before in Chicago or Michigan.

That's one helluva test, good luck. Save some of your favorite bottle for after you pass!

Thanks. Still got 3 parts to go...
