I have been holding off on buying bottles lately and have been trying to make a dent in my open bottle inventory (impossible fight). However, yesterday I caved and bought a bottle of Booker's "The Center Cut" batch 2015-03 for $49.99 and I.W. Harper 15 year for $79.99. Haven't opened up either yet as I decided to keep drinking my Old Ezra 101 last night.

Talked myself into a private selection of Buffalo Trace after sampling it last night. My last bottle of BT was pretty grassy, but this has a lot of cinnamon; quite nice!

I'm glad this is the one Joe and Paul liked. I hear Jimmy wanted for anise in his.

Grabbed an ER10 since nothing else jumped out at me and I don't think I have anything else from BT's distillery in my bunker at the moment.

After a couple months of waiting, my bottle of EHT Cured Oak finally made its way up from Houston to Arlington.

They did good! Not sure how Jimmy's anise sample was though . . .

Finally broke down and got some Bulliet bourbon. Shouldn't have bothered, with the first sip, that sharp cumin 4R taste hit me. I have more than enough 4R sitting around as it is.

2006 EWSB. I usually put these releases in the "good but nothing special" category, but when the price is $19.99, why not buy it?

That is a great price. I missed a sale at a local retailer this weekend where they offered EWSB for $19.99. I would have purchased a few bottles for that price along with a lot of other things that were on sale. While some vintages of EWSB are better than others, I really like it regardless of year.

Visiting London on vacation this week. Thanks to a fellow forum member pointing me to the good liquor shops here, I snagged a 2014 4R Limited Edition. It was pricey at 75 pounds, roughly $119, but I have really been wanting to try it, so it seemed like a good souvenir to take home.

True, one can never have enough 4R sitting around.

I resemble this sentiment.
