Passed on some good deals and some new products to the area. Saving money for fall purchases.

OWA for $21

Contradiction for $58

EWSB2006 for $25

If a website is a window to the World that's a slick introduction that manages to say very little about the product. Am I the only one or does that label have a "Beamish" sort of look.

It does have a "Beamish" kind of look. I believe it's obvious that if you create a great web site, a great label, and a purty bottle there is a lot of money to made selling craft whiskey.

Whether or not what is inside the bottle is any good doesn't really matter.

Passed on IW Harper 15, RHF, EHT rye, Forgiven, as well as the regular ol' cats & dogs. Also passed on an 04 EWSB (bottle was one of the 10+ year olds). I was tempted, but already have run through enough of those. Interestingly, I didn't see an 05 anywhere...

^that is a great price on the JBSB. I think I have only had one bottle some months back and enjoyed it at ~$35.

Elmer T. Lee for $60. This is the only ETL I've seen on a shelf in a while, and I love ETL, but I have a pretty strong suspicion I'll be able to get it for rather less than that within the foreseeable future. If not, I can get Blanton's in that ballpark all day long, if I need a BT#2 fix.

Stagg Jr. at $69.99. Interested in it but not at that price. Also passed on the Vanilla Bean infused Bowman. Not interested in that one.

Passed on a $89.99 Forged Oak, a $37.99 OWA and a $62.99 Blanton...

BUMMER about the OWA!!! I think it's a great bourbon at $25 or less.

I passed on a bottle of BT yesterday. Not because of the price either. I had the bottle in my hands and was getting ready to check out. I just decided I already had enough stuff in my bunker, plus I know I have a couple of other bottles headed my way in the near future. So, I sat the bottle on the counter and walked out of the store empty handed.

Cheers! Joe

LOL! I have actually done the same thing, more than once, and never mentioned it, because I thought it was weird!

Cheers! Joe

I passed up a group of different 4R single barrel store selections. I like it, but $59.99 is outside my comfort zone. I know that's about the going rate.

Costco has WT101 handles but no 750, too much for me. Strange that they would have it but TW&M does not list it on their website, then again they don't list several stock items. :smiley_acbt:

A bottle of W12 at $34.99. Seems like that is going to be the going rate around here. Hard to believe how much the price has gone up in the last 2-3 years.

I guess it's a matter of availability and perspective, but I'd be fumbling all over myself to get my wallet out if I saw W12 for that price here in Mid-MO! Heck, if I saw W12 at all I'd be a happy man!

Shelf-full of Stagg Jr. Batch 4 at $50 each. I love the stuff, but already have a few bottles of Batch 4 in reserve, so don't need to go overboard.

It's rare to see it at any price around here currently. 3 years ago it was fairly easy to find at around $21 a bottle. Ive got several in the bunker and there are plenty of other bourbons in the $35 dollar price range that are just as good IMO.
