amg
Huh, they officially pulled it from Indiana. I noticed it had mostly disappeared from shelves.
beasled
Its dried up in Europe too. Larceny or nothing. Luckily I stocked up a load of VSOF and a couple of BIBs in the last year before it disappeared!
Hop
The only I've ever seen in Fort Mill is the Prime. Never the BIB Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
MeAndMyWhiskey
In trips to Illinois I have recently only found Prime and can't find the BIB.
PaulO
Will we see the bonded version again? It seems very bad for Heaven Hill to abandon one of their most famous brands.
foster016
I've seen the bib here and there around Chicago.
Clueby
I bought a 1.75L (glass bottle) of Prime yesterday in southern Missouri. It was a 2004 bottle.

It seemed to me that Old Fitz BIB was much more popular there. A lot of stores had it. Here in Southern Indiana, I could find it, but only a few places carried it. I guess the question for Chicago - will you guys keep getting new shipments, or will it dry up there too?
Hop
I always see the BIB 1.75's in KY when I'm there but its usually hard to find it in 750's - this week however there were several 750's on the shelf in multiple stores
jvd99
I'm bumping this semi-old thread because Heaven Hill's website has no mention of Old Fitz BIB and I was wondering if this was quietly discontinued recently A common theme in this thread is that the BIB can be found in Chicago, but I've been keeping my eye out lately and it's really to be found at cruddy storefront type places. Old Dusty
No word that it's been 86'd. But it has gone the way of the White Label 6 yr BIB. Extremely limited production and distribution. Like KY only at this point. And the VSOF is basically Gift Shop only. There is a post on here IIRC where HH said a limited amount would be released in the GS at $150. Nm0369
I stop into every random liquor store I see here in Metro Indy area, and nobody carries the Old Fitz line. I did find a stash of BiB not long ago, and with the help of another member we basically cleaned them out. The bottle dates indicate 2009-2011. Nm0369
No it was off Shadeland. I probably know which store you're talking about, same chain.

PaulO
I'm the other member Special thanks to Nik (Nm0369)! I checked all over Greenwood/Indy Southside first. Stores that once had it - nothing. It could still be out in the wild, but it's going to be old inventory, that has sat there a year or two. Joe Shadeland is not the corridor it used to be. Eastgate, Western Electric, Chrysler, Regency Theatre all gone. Even the Castleton area has lots of empty retail. The far north side is now in Boone and Hamilton Counties. I think Expo Bowl in the Grove is still there!
Grain Belt
In MN we have sadly lost Old Fitz BIB in recent history. I have always enjoyed it. I really liked it in a Mnhattan. Everyone should lament the loss of sub $25 BIB's. With my humble wallet I am always on the prowl for good pours under $30.

I still recall passing on a VSOF 12 for around $40 in 2013 while in Louisville. I thought I read somewhere in this thread that they are offering at the GS at a substantially higher price. I haven't spied a 750 of OF BIB for several months. The OF Prime is pretty easy to locate here in town.Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
jvd99
I cracked mine open the other night and it was pretty good. I'll be stocking up at a couple shady places that have 750s from several years ago in the $15 price range
