Been working on a bottle of GTS from 2012. First time I allowed myself pours on consecutive nights. I thought for a long time that GTS would be my everyday drink were it available at a reasonable price, but I was wrong. It is so sweet, to me it really works best as an occasional dessert bourbon.

A nice pour of Rock Hill Farms celebrating the Mets win. This stuff is pretty damn good. Got it for $42 and will grab more if I see priced there or lower again.

Stop the acronyms. I can't keep up. Head spinning even before tasting,

.......

You will find many of the common acronyms here - http://www.straightbourbon.com/forums/announcement.php?f=43&a=8

Before I found that thread I found that a simple google search of the abbrev with whiskey or bourbon after it would usually lead to the answer.

During a dizzying work week last night featured OWA which went down so well that I followed it up with some store select 1792, also delicious.

You all are making me thirsty. Acronyms or not. Thanks, Fozz, for posting the link to the acro-thread. Been using them so long I forget newbies and even some oldbies (like me during senior moments) have no idear.

Somebody say "wheateds"? Right now MM CS with a cube (Makers Mark Cask Strength) - was raking leaves from under rhododendrons and found a BIG ROUND hole. Snake? Ground squirrel? Gopher? Mole? Vole? Neighbor's kid? I take no chances - CEASE WORK & REPLENISH!! Hence: Hello, MMCS with a cube, my old daytime friend . . .

Harry, you're having another senior moment. You posted here last Spring that you were going to bury some EC12 under the bushes because your truck was getting full...;)

It is true: I spend an inordinate amount of time in and among bushes. At my age, we are talking garden variety.

Too early for a pour for me but I went down to the bunker and grabbed my bottle AAA10* to finally try tonight since I don't have many sub 100 proofers open right now.

Actually solving world problems tonight on this cool evening in front of this first fire of the season in the outdoor fireplace, along with a HHSS #1. It's hard to beat this...

Some EC12, now some OWA and have some MMCS on deck. Good way to end the week that wouldn't end. Having a celebration of a personal accomplishment, did a presentation in front of 80+ employees (I don't do public speaking) and it went off without a hitch.

I call this meeting of Four Roses Anonymous to order. My name is Ravensfire and it's been 2 weeks since my last drink of Four Roses Small Batch.

Oh who am I kidding - fresh pour from a new bottle is sitting in front of me and...

Had the last pour of PHC POH, moving to Weller land with W12 and OWA for the rest of the evening.

Opened a bottle of Blantons tonight. First pour of this I've had since May when I paid as much for a double as I paid for the bottle. It's a fine bourbon but much finer at the bottle price. Such a refined pour it's a bit hard to describe

Just arrived at my parents house for a short visit and knowing there is no bourbon here except a dusty Beams Choice, I made sure to have some en route. Woodford it is when flying Delta and you know, this one was all right. During a long layover at MSP, I had a Blanton's, which I don't currently have at home. It was working this afternoon.

Eric Clapton gave George Harrison some great guitars to keep at his home studio, in part because he knew if George ever asked him over to play, there'd be good guitars for Clapton to play.

In that spirit, I often leave a bottle of good bourbon at homes of all family members who don't drink it. I know when I get there, it's waiting for me. This has ended up turning a few of them on to bourbon. And that's a good thing.
