JPK
This may be a taboo...but I don't care! This weekend was my anniversary (12yrs)I took my Wife out for shopping, dinner, movie. She took me to a liqueur store...yeah she's a keeper.Walked out with 2 new ones I hadn't tried.Knob creek and basil hadens. The BH was ok..extremely easy to drink..full of good flavors....but very subtle. The knob creek was very good. Sweet, had a little tingle to the tongue, and lots of nice rich flavors. The knob also had a bit of a "smokey" initial finish which reminded me of a flavor I get from EW black.anyway...long story short my current fav is/was EC12...but the knob creek was a close second.I mixed/blended 2/3 EC12 to 1/3 Knob creek..OMG!FOUND IT! B.B. Babington
I rarely vat, but that sounds interesting. Will give it a try.
Jazz Nut
That sounds interesting, I'll have to try it out too. Just need to open a Knob Creek from the bunker. The last blend I did, Henry McKenna BIB and Old Weller Antique did NOT work well at all.
bullitt
I thought you were going to say you mixed the BH with the KC or the EC12. I too find the BH to be on the subtle side. I've done a lot of blending experiments with tequila but so far not with bourbon.
