Local high end restaurant had a dinner for 30 people give or take. Several different wild game on the menu. Quail, trout, boar and more. He invited me to go with him. Better than a raise. Dan spoke about the history of his distiller. Gave some insight to what it takes to make a go at being a bourbon producer. Shed light on things happening in the bourbon world. Just a real down-to-earth man. Highlight was tasting all his expressions. He was kind enough to share some of his Cowboy Bourbon. Absolutely delicious! Unfortunately it never made it to Tn. So a bottle is not in my cards. But I can check this one off my bucket list. Boss was about to pour coke in his Cowboy, I almost smacked him. Epic night.
