Today was another fun one, so I went with some ETL with dinner and cracked open the JDSBBP for a couple of pours. Gotta say....this stuff is pretty damn tasty. Sounds Great. I love that JDSBBP

jaxn slim
I'm enjoying some ETL I picked up late last year. It's definitely one of the better barrels I've had of it lately. I wish I could have snagged more than 3 bottles of it.

atbat82
OWA from a bottle that's been opened about a year. This stuff really shines after being open for a while.
Charlutz
ETL and then finished off a bottle of buffalo trace. Having them back to back highlights the differences in two whiskeys from the same mashbill. The ETL is much more refined and the BT, which I would consider smooth on its own, has a much more perceptible bite until my palate adjusts. Spur9
OF100. With some dark chocolate covered cranberries. As a reward for spending 2 hours "fishing" a dead squirrel out of our kitchen. It had fallen between to panels. Stunk to high heaven. And some WT101 from '98. I had bought it for Y2K. The squirrel episode supported me opening it up. Yummy! As I was finishing off my penultimate pour, the cork broke in the bottle. I had to dig it out with a knive and my fingers. My fingers smell like barrel proof bourbon. I don't believe I will wash my hand again tonight.

flahute
63 miles on the bike today and accoridng to my Garmin I burned about 3,200 calories. I assume it's not accurate, but I will take the opportunity to justify this evenings pours by virtue of necessary calorie replacement. SO, I'm rewarding myself with some Blanton's before dinner, (a very non bourbon glass of wine with dinner), a little WT101 to cleanse the palate after the wine and smooth the way for the WT101 12yr that is Oh So Good. Not sure where I'll go after that (assuming I'm still awake).
