Tonight, I'm celebrating a recent restocking of OGD 114 at one of my local stores.  They still sell it at $23.99, which is reasonable for Massachusetts.

Me too on the ogd 114. Wasn't the biggest fan at first taste but it tasted just fine tonight after a couple days off.

Last pour of a rather exceptional bottle of OWA. (Fingers crossed that at least some of the OWA's in the bunker are this good.)

Switching it up after that with some Baker's.

Crazy couple of days at work.  First poured a taste of EC12 PB from Liquor Outlet, and moved on to EWSB 2004 PB from Liquor Outlet.  Love them both.  Hoping for a nice easy day tomorrow.

OGD BIB tonight, it is a solid bourbon, but, I think I prefer the 114.  Tomorrow night will be JW Dant BIB, I am quickly approaching the end of BIBs to try.  Also, I saw a bottle of David Nicholson that had a new label and was not designated BIB.

I finally opened one of my AECS '15 bottles tonight.  Right out of the bottle, it's pretty hot.  After 20-30 minutes in the glass, it's heaven.  So much going on and so good.

Just opened a FRSiB Private Selection, OESV.  My first taste of a private selection.  Very nice, a little more complexity and a nice spicy warm finish.  Can't wait to find another Private Selection recipe.

A pour of MM46 and then CEHTSB after yet another long day at work.  I really can't wait until busy season is over.

Gave a nod to the cult with some 4RSmB. Then followed with some EC12 which has been in heavy rotation recently. The recent announcement of the dropped age statement has me appreciating what it is at 12 years old more so than in the past. Finishing with Baker's (a healthy pour to finish off the bottle).

Tried RHF for the first time at a friend's house and was blown away. it hit all the right notes for me and there was a sweetness to the vanilla note that reminded me of Nilla wafer cookies. It was particularly nice because it was a Christmas gift from his wife on my recommendation for the guy who has more than 100 whiskeys but had never had a bottle of RHF.

He then made me a Manhattan with some SAOS rye and then I had a small pour of  CEHT single barrel.

I finished off my evening with some HW Rendezvous rye.

Last evening, I started with a small pour of Crown Royal Northern Harvest Rye, then another small pour, then another, then another .  Geesh, my head is feeling it this morning...But what a great rye whiskey!

Agreed--those are excellent selections from Liquor Outlet.  I actually had a pour of an EC12 selection from LO last night as well--this one a 7th floor single barrel.  I think I also have a 6th floor and 3rd floor barrel from LO.  And frankly, I probably have enough private selections from LO to last a good long while--BT, ETL, EC12, 4RPS, Blanton's, EWSB, HMcKBIB, etc.  All terrific IMO.

In other recent nights, had pours of JJB Port Finished, Booker's 2013-06, and OWA.

I find the CR NHR very easy drinking as well.

HH 6yo BIB. Nice depth of flavor for a $10 bottle!

They sell that up in your neck of the woods Jeff?  Can't find it here in Illinois. FWIW, that's been about the only thing I've bought on my trips to the Sampler and KBF the last couple of years. :)

Back on topic…. Went to a little get together Wednesday night. Cigars and a few spirits. One of the guys in our group brought a bottle of W.H. Harrison Governor's Reserve (113 proof), and I brought my bottle of CR Hand Selected Barrel (103 proof). A couple of non-bourbons were also present, but I stayed with the Harrison and CR. The Harrison was pretty good, and as I've stated before, the CR is decent, but an odd bird.

Today, after a very long week at work, I'm kicking back with a pour or two of Weller SR.

Cheers! Joe

When the shortage of ETL started, I resorted to VOB as a daily pour. When I tried it's cousin 1792, I found it growing on me. OWA still remains my favorite wheater.

Nah, it started almost 2 months ago, but I still have about a month to go.  Today was another fun one, so I went with some ETL with dinner and cracked open the JDSBBP for a couple of pours.  Gotta say....this stuff is pretty damn tasty.
