Nah, it started almost 2 months ago, but I still have about a month to go.  Today was another fun one, so I went with some ETL with dinner and cracked open the JDSBBP for a couple of pours.  Gotta say....this stuff is pretty damn tasty.

Sounds Great. I love that JDSBBP

Maintaining my good standing in the cult with a freshly cracked 4RSiB. Following on with a HMcKBIB. It's a 100 proof kind of night.

Last college football game of the year is on - the Senior Bowl.  Decided a minor celebration was needed - my last SAOS 7 yr. from batch 49 bottled in Dec 2013 by Sarah.  THANK YOU, Sarah, whoever you are.

Im having some OSSB #1888 to sip on while I'm lighting my fire pit up for some ribeye's latter tonight.

Final pour from a Smooth Ambler 11 year SB from Astor Wines. Was quite a hot but sweet bottle, awesome stuff.

I'm enjoying some ETL I picked up late last year.  It's definitely one of the better barrels I've had of it lately.  I wish I could have snagged more than 3 bottles of it.

Not a bourbon, but still of interest to this group.  HW 21 yr Rockey Mountain Rye Whiskey.  Sooooo good.  Enjoying a dram while watching my Cats battle Kansas.

OWA from a bottle that's been opened about a year. This stuff really shines after being open for a while.

ETL and then finished off a bottle of buffalo trace. Having them back to back highlights the differences in two whiskeys from the same mashbill. The ETL is much more refined and the BT, which I would consider smooth on its own, has a much more perceptible bite until my palate adjusts.

Different mashbills actually.

OF100.  With some dark chocolate covered cranberries.  As a reward for spending 2 hours "fishing" a dead squirrel out of our kitchen.  It had fallen between to panels.  Stunk to high heaven.

And some WT101 from '98.  I had bought it for Y2K.  The squirrel episode supported  me opening it up.  Yummy!

Finishing off a bottle of ECBP batch #5 tonight.

As I was finishing off my penultimate pour, the cork broke in the bottle.  I had to dig it out with a knive and my fingers.  My fingers smell like barrel proof bourbon.  I don't believe I will wash my hand again tonight.

That's awesome. The majority of my bottles have Sarah's signature on them.

Let me tell ya. She knows how to pick em.

Well that explains it! Oops.

Still, you CAN taste differences from the same mashbill. ETL comes from the same one as RHF and Blanton's.

63 miles on the bike today and accoridng to my Garmin I burned about 3,200 calories. I assume it's not accurate, but I will take the opportunity to justify this evenings pours by virtue of necessary calorie replacement. SO, I'm rewarding myself with some Blanton's before dinner, (a very non bourbon glass of wine with dinner), a little WT101 to cleanse the palate after the wine and smooth the way for the WT101 12yr that is Oh So Good. Not sure where I'll go after that (assuming I'm still awake).

It's all about balance I always say :P. Working on some ogd114, may try my last pours decanter after.

Tried MMCS for the first time yesterday. Really good stuff. I'll definitely be getting another bottle after this one is gone, especially since OWA has disappeared on the shelves.
