GizmoStudent
Question to the group: When did ETL start having date codes put on the bottle? I came across some bottles of ETL at a store that did not have a date code on them which is the first time I have seen this since I started drinking ETL 3 years ago. Thanks for any info/feedback, Gizmostudent
starhopper
I bought a few bottles the other day that didn't have a date code - I assumed that the date stamper (laser etching?) machine had somehow missed these two bottles Edited February 6, 2016 by starhopper
fishnbowljoe
FWIW, the last bottle of ETL I bought has the laser code on the right side of the bottle, just underneath the indented area. Kinda hard to see. Joe
tanstaafl2
I recall reading somewhere in a long since forgotten blog post that some bottles get missed by the bottle coding machine according to BT staff. So that is a possibility. I don't know about ETL but the Pappiez didn't start getting a bottle code until 2007 according to SKU's blog (update 2) so it seems reasonable to think that ETL might have started getting codes around the same time.
