While prepaying for two Blanton's store picks due in next Saturday, I also purchased a Tom's Foolery Straight Bourbon and a Leopold's Navy Strength Gin (batch 2016-1).  Now, where to put this . . .

EDIT - Looked in the bag and realized I'd also picked up the last 4R OBSO store pick they had along with a Cynar.  WHOA!! Running out of space.

Trunk has a Pikesville 110, a VOB BIB, and a WT101 in it.  I got worried about spontaneous combustion and decided I couldn't risk the 4R.

This release of TF just started showing up here - I first saw it a couple of weeks ago.  I've wanted to try it since the TF thread popped up last year, especially after I saw some recent, positive chatter about the current releases showing up in stores lately.  When I do open it, I'll post on the "What bourbon are you drinking . . ." OR on the resurrected TF thread.

Incidentally, I also saw, but did not buy, a McKenzie gin from those good folks at Finger Lakes Distilling.  I liked their youngish bourbon and rye last year and am still looking forward to something with more age from them.  Like the TF now, it's about time for it (and Smooth Ambler's own wheated 4+ year old bourbon come to think of it) to be hitting shelves here.

Picked up two bottles of RHF last evening at $49.99 apiece.  Love the stuff, so even though I was already stocked with a few, picked them up to add to the stash.  RHF is one that I can go months or a year or more without seeing on a shelf.

In Destin, FL on vacation and went to ABC for a beer run (more Jai Ali, please!) and spotted a lone ETL just crying to be adopted. Been a while since I've seen in back home let alone at list price. I just had to take that little fella back and give him a good loving home. A happy find well enjoyed by the bourbon drinkers I was with!

Two handles of OF BiB - have only found one Liquor Barn up in Louisville that regularly stocks it, no one local does.  Figured since I've lately lucked into a few bottles each of ETL, RHF, and Stagg Jr, I'd better stock up on a favored daily pour to save the allocated for "special" occasions (like celebrating "National Potato Week" or "Happy Sir Walter Raleigh Landing Day")...

And wouldn't you know it, after buying the two RHF bottles at $49.99, I was at Total Wine the next night buying some beer, and there were a few bottles of RHF at $42.99... I hate when that happens.  You feel like buying more "just because", but I have enough for now so I passed.

Picked up an ER10. After not seeing this for some time I've seen it at a few places recently.

JW Dant BIB, great stuff for the price. Passed on 4RSB for $33, only because I have one in the bunker and I am trying to drink what I have.  I know, shame on me, what am I thinking.

Forgot to mention this, but on Wednesday I was driving home from Canada (for a work trip) and went past a store that once resulted in a Booker's 25th for me so I stopped in to see if I could get lucky again. No unicorns were to be had, but I picked up an Elijah Craig and looked at the back label, and what d'ya know, it was 12 year age stated. There were two more there so I checked. No such luck. Walked out with the one though.

I did an amazing thing today.  I went into a liquor store, purchased several items (mostly beer and wine), and never even went down the bourbon aisle.  I simply don't have room for anything else in my bunker right now, I'm already stacking bottles on top of other bottles (thank you WT Diamond / Masters Keep, Bookers and other boxes for allowing for rooftop storage).

Stopped in a store on my way home from Destin and found a Four Roses OESK store pick. Curse my bourbon budget limiting me to just one!

Clearly you have one of two problems.   Either your bunker is waaaaaay too small!     Or, you MAY have too many bottles; but I've yet to hear any of us say anything like that about ourselves with a straight face.    So, I'm pretty sure it's the inadequate bunker issue at play here.    Hope this helps out.    He-Heeeee.

Technically I only bought one bottle of bourbon. A KCSB store pick. What I actually bought was the KC, a HW YKY, a Redbreast 12, and a bottle of some cheap wine for my wife. Magically, the receipt and bag will only have the wine when my wife sees it. ..

It is my birthday after all :)

Always make sure to throw away the receipts before getting home to the wife.

No, I kept the receipt for the wine. It just happened to ring up on a separate bill.
