Tony Santana
Saw a few bottles of EC on the shelf, 12 year age statement on the back label. I've got a couple in reserve already, but what the heck, when they're gone they're gone, right? So I grabbed another for the bunker. Heck, maybe I should have gotten more. tanstaafl2
Couldn't resist picking up a bottle of the new Belle Meade Cognac finish. Although pricey I enjoyed the sherry finished version and I thought it would make a nice blind SBS with the PHC Cognac and SB.com bottle. Not sure which MGP mashbill it is or if it is a blend of mashbills but if it proves to be good it won't matter!
Fort Knox
I've been holding off on buying until the wife and I make our 2nd annual trip to Louisville on Saturday, but I'm pretty much out of my daily drinkers and I don't wanna put too big of a dent in the big hitters, so I swung by my favorite ABC store and picked up a SAOS7. Flyfish
At Dornan's in Jackson Hole there were 4 ECs on the shelf: 3 EC12 and an NAS. Bought all 3 of the 12YOs.

Hop
Did a little hunting in SC earlier this week and picked up a bottle of WTKS bottled in 07 and a Blanton's just because
Richnimrod
Picked up 'family sized' bottle of Buffalo Trace (a store pick that I found exceptional), a bottle of EWSB '08(!2-days shy of 8-years old!) vintage, and Booker's (Toogies Invite). I may open the Booker's in a day or two.
Harry in WashDC
Haven't see the EWSB '08 or the Toogies on the shelves here, but they may show up soon - more EWSB '07 than ever on the shelves and multiples of the recent Bookers. I did pick up two Blantons today.
El Vino
1792 Full Proof. Less than $40 before tax. Still trying to work down the number of open bottles, but will save some ECBP and CEHT Barrel Proof for a comparison tasting.
Louisiana
Bought 3 ECBP today! Left 3 on the shelf! I had plenty already, but oh well. They will be consumed probably sooner than later! The manager of this pretty big store came up and said I'm really into Bourbon too! I say have you ever tried ECBP? He said No, but I'm trying to get EC21 & EC23! I went to Kentucky this year! To clarify. Most bigger stores are not like this. They know the value of ECBP. Edited August 4, 2016 by Louisiana *

kjbeggs
Had a Dr. Appt this morning, and since I was close, stopped in to the local TW&M, thinking maybe I'd grab a handle of Larceny, since I'm low on daily drinkers. Strolled down the aisle and noticed they had a "One Only" on the shelf of ER10 750's, but not on the 1.75s. Alas, there was only one of the big bottles on the shelf, but at $48, compared to the $55 for Larceny, it came home with me.
Golzee
Found a Jewel-Osco single barrel Buffalo Trace. I wonder who picks the barrels for large chain stores. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if they just put stickers on regular juice.

FWIW, in the past, I've known of a few stores that have done barrel picks where they've let the distillery pick the barrel for them. A number of years ago I was in a store that did a ps pick of ER10. They told me they let the distillery pick the barrel. I only bought one bottle, but I was very tempted to buy a case because they had it at a more than reasonable price. I'm glad I didn't buy a case. To say the least, it was less than stellar. On the flip side, I've also bought a couple of other private selections that the distillery picked, and they were pretty good. You pays your money, and you takes your chances. Cheers! Joe

I feel bad for you kj, Larceny is only 28 bucks in this great state of Michigan, even though we have our lovely state minimum, thank you motor city for making all them cars, for all them trips to Indiana and Kentucky

If you are getting it for $28.00 per 1.75L, then I am truly jealous!
Paddy
I grabbed a lonely handle of WSR yesterday. I walked it up to the checkout and the monger (looking all shocked) says, "where'd you get that"! Apparently this one bottle had been lost behind some other stock in the back room and placed on the shelf when the store opened. Good thing I was early! P. S. It had been 7 or 8 weeks since any Weller last dropped in Ky stores.
