Anybody seeing any of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection hitting shelves yet? I see in Michigan the GTS, ER17 and WLW have made the Liquor Control Board list as of 9/18, but still waiting to see or hear of it at any store.

Do these still see shelves in this market?  (market being defined as the planet)

I think there is that one store in Tulsa

I know right? It is becoming like the quest for the holy grail!

Remind me.... Is the Holy Grail mythical?   ...OR is it the BTAC that's a myth?

Gary, as you know BTAC hasn't seen a shelf here in years, so all I can say to y'all is welcome to my world!

BTW, peoples were literally following the trucks around here yesterday for the trickle of PHC and 4RLE.  It's so bad, I actually look for them to hire security for the drivers (or start using armored cars:o)!  One small local got an allocation of 1 each, and the driver noted that he had to shoo some dipstick out of the back of his truck (in the store parking lot) while he was in there trying to gather the delivery.  Apparently said guy just thought it would be ok to 'see' how much of what he wanted was actually in the truck, so he could determine whether or not it would be worth his continued efforts (to keep following the damn truck around town)!

It's sad, but sumbitches like that really do deserve to be...  :P

I dunno, Paddy.  If the guy promised to sit down on the curb and open it and drink the whole thing in one sitting, then maybe . . .:P

They can chase away!  Meanwhile I'm stealthily bunkering up OGD BIB, OF BIB, and everything else that's still available with an age statement on it...;)

Edit: OF in this example = Old Fitz!

Paddy, I haven't seen Old Fitz BIB back here for months - other than the $99 per 750 for the BIB one store has in its window.  As I posted elsewhere, this week, I bought several years' worth of both OGD BIB and 114 on sale.  Next week will be KC 9 yr.  The stores are STILL advertising it at $22 plus sales tax.

AND, I intend on drinking EVERY SINGLE DROP unless a friend or two comes over.

Still enjoy watching the first two and just wonder how much fun Gleason had playing that role.

^^^I'm sure it was a hoot, but I'd bet his level of fun was a bit less than Berts level of fun (with Sally Fields in the mix)!;)

I see it in shelves when it comes out.  For severely marked up prices.  I passed on all the opportunities I'm likely to get this year.  I didn't want either of the HH releases at BHC and chose to take my friend to the pistol range instead of waiting in line for FRSmBLE at either Four Roses.  As far as opportunities for other LE stuff go, if there's an emoticon for giving up, that's probably the best way to describe my chances.  Most of the raffles I used to participate in seem to have fallen to the wayside, so BTAC is unlikely for me again this year.

Or okay if he pops to share with his buds who are also chasing the truck?

I did some math in my head.  I've lived in the same house since 2004.  It seems like for the first couple years, I would see some BTAC on shelves for around $75.  So I'm saying the crazy stuff must have started around ten years ago.  Back then, I didn't exactly know what it was.  Seriously, it's still a lot to pay for a bottle of liquor.  No regrets.

Beauford T. Justice would be a great name for a brand of bourbon.

I strongly suspect the releases will hit the shelves in late October to mid November to take advantage of Christmas shopping demand. I know what I want and if I don't get it I'm buying scotch.

Found this interesting . . .

" Overall, I would have to say that the 2016 Antique Collection is not as good as recent years, but there are still bright spots in the Collection. If I were tracking down a bottle to purchase, I would focus on Weller, Sazerac, and Eagle Rare. "

I saw that too. Oh to have the luxury of being picky about which BTAC you get. Not a comment at John, just a generally comment on the silliness of it.

Ina a dive?   92 mph.    In straight and level flight?   49 mph.     In an upswing?   31.5 mph.     Chasing a mosquito?  Who can say?

...And you can take all this to the bank!   ....With as many grains of salt as you deem appropriate.
