Thought I scored a current release William Larue Weller through my friendly spirits manager. When I picked it up today (modest mark up over MSRP) turns out to be the 2015 release. Delighted to finally get a bottle of WLW, but, based on what I read, still need to finagle a 2016 release.  Will post notes when I clear some room on the bar.  Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Same thing here. Got a bottle of "the last" 2015 in Aug. My # got pulled at the LS to get my Holiday treat and another 2015!

I'm now suspicious that BT held some back and is now shipping that along with the 16?

Lots of talk around here about allocations to restaurants.  I wonder if this is how BT is trying alleviate some pressure with its distributors? Or is this a way distributors are trying to alleviate pressure from retailers?

Traveling for Thanksgiving. Grabbed a Blanton's since it was $20 cheaper than the store at home.

I bought a WTKS hand selection by Cleveland Bourbon club and same for a KCSB. 90 bucks out the door. not bad. funny thing was the Kentucky Spirit was bottled on my wifes birthday. Coincidences huh?

Have you tried these bottles yet?  I was on the WTKS pick and bought a few of them as well.  Which KC did you pickup?

I don't really have a daily or regular pour.  if I did, it would probably be EC NAS or Larceny.  However, when I move the next step up, WTKS and KCSB are both favorites, especially store selections.  Both should be great!

While I was on the way home from NY I grabbed 3X EHTBP @$99 for friends who wanted them. I've got a couple tucked away at retail price and am not a buyer for myself at $99. Passing through DE later in the ride and grabbed this nice OESK at $70 for myself. 115.4 proof.

Not a purchase, but I was gifted a standard 4RSB and an OWA over the holiday (which happened to be my birthday).  In true cult spirit, the 4R was promptly emptied within 24 hours of opening!

Tweener Elijah Craig Small Batch (w 12 year age statement on the back), and a fine family of OWA's, produced by some Thanksgiving Day spelunkering in the caves of Northern IL.

Found this little gem yesterday while waiting in line for "bourbon county stout".

I'm waiting for VA to get that one (it's not even up on their website yet, so it's probably going to be a while).

A 1L bottle of OWA because it was there on the shelf at what seemed to be a reasonable price of $28.

Walked into my local grocery store in Chicago and found ORVW and Lot B on the shelf ( not a case ) at retail - grabbed it while buying some chips. Then moved to my local store and bough Old Scout 9 Single Barrel which I am enjoying tonight

While making a very quick visit to the Bluegrass State, I managed to grab a bottle of Bookers as a early Xmas gift for someone, a Johnny Drum and a OBSK FRPS from back in April that was some how still on the shelf.
