Yep,

did you try the store pick four roses?  It was quite tasty.

I left with a bottle of high west.  Nothing rare, but definitely one of my favorites!

Didn't try the 4R. I think it was an OESF which I'm not really familiar with.

I was tempted by the CEHTSIB but ultimately decided on both the Old Fitz and the Willett for the same price as one Taylor.   I have a bottle of CEHTSmallBatch and everything I've read says that while the single barrel is better,  it's not THAT much better.

Picked up a Michters 10 and a Abraham Bowman Wheater. Stoked to add these to the bar.

Nice pick up! I'll be happy to find some Abraham Bowman. Michter's is easier to find in Europe but they sell it for €150 and it's not worth it.

Hancock's Presidents Reserve, RHF, and an OGD114 all from the Motherland. OGD114 @ $21.99 is $11 lower than Michigan state minimum. But with recent developments may bunker a few from here too.

Stopped by the hometown store during Thanksgiving while visiting and picked up 1792 Port Finish. They had ORVW 10 and 12yr, PVW 15, WLW, EC18, ECBP, and PH all in a glass case with no price. Store clerk couldn't give me a price said I would need to talk to store owner who wasn't there.

That's not a good sign.

I may give him a call back just to see but you're right. Really didn't understand the ECBP being in there. It's not something I see every day around here but not exactly glass case price worthy.

The glass case is the only place I've ever seen ECBP down here (albeit at a reasonable price, though).  It's either that or under a counter or hidden away in the store room out of sight altogether.

I guess I better not show this to my usual source, although he gets it rarely.

Walked into my local grocery store in Chicago and found ORVW and Lot B on the shelf ( not a case ) at retail - grabbed it while buying some chips. Then moved to my local store and bough Old Scout 9 Single Barrel which I am enjoying tonight

Was this one of the local grocery chain stores?

Grabbed EH Taylor SiB BIB  for $69.99 plus tax. Looking forward to trying it after I finish off a couple bottles that I have open currently (WSR, ER, KCSmB).

Just left Binny's in Bloomington with a WTKS, a BIB & Tucker, and 2x OGD 114. Taking my friends word on the Bib that he enjoyed it. I usually don't like to gamble on a $50 bottle but had a gift card.

I've been taking a break from picking up new bottles over the last month or so and been trying to drink down a little of my bunker selections. Broke out of my hiatus by picking up a 750ml of OWA for $24, a 750ml of KC Single Barrel for $29, and a Noah's Mill for $47.

This is my first time trying Noah's Mill... Looking forward to breaking the seal on it!

Let me know how the Noah's Mill is. I grabbed a bottle at $51. Left one on the shelf. Can't decide if I should go back and get it also.

I have a Noah's Mill in the bunker...opened a Rowans Creek last month only to be dissapointed (lots of black licorice).....so I'm not overly excited or in a hurry to open the Noah's mill. Have read mixed reviews.

Just finished one, my first one, probably the last. While we know it is a sourced whiskey and can change sources at any time, mine was clearly HH to my taste buds. And while I like HH products, I seem to only like them right at the 100 proof level, not above or below.

I definitely prefer the small batch Taylor.

My EHT single barrel has 1/4 left and I don't plan on purchasing another.  Not that its bad per say, just not great to me.  A totally different animal than the small batch.  Lots of black licorice and peppery taste.

I'm not crazy about black licorice. Like a true newb, I only picked it up because I read about it on a "Bourbons to try before you die" type of list ha.

Bought a '16 WLW yesterday ($99.99 OTD)  to go along with last year's bottle .  SBS report due in a couple of weeks.   ;)

And I picked up my first lottery win of the season - BTAC '16 THH ($125 OTD - paid premium at another store).  Ok, ok - I know it's not bourbon but purported by some to be #2 of this year's BTACs behind the WLW.  Gonna' try do a SBS with the '16 VWFRR before Christmas - I'd rather be lucky than good, no?

Good insight here. I actually didn't know it was sourced. Seems like all I've learned since really diving into all things bourbon, is that I have a lot to learn.

Strictly my opinion, but the Noah's Mill is just ok... Better bourbons out there and in some cases MUCH better for the $50-ish price range.

Focused on some 10yo bourbon over the holidays. Probably my only "pappiez" of the season unless something interesting falls in my lap. But I think I can make up for it make up for it with this store pick as it is quite nice! Drinkable at proof but the addition of a few drops of water really worked well for me.

Would love to stumble across a WLW this year to round out the LE season but lack the desire to hunt for it anymore so not likely to happen.

Picked up a lovely bottle of Pappy 23 for $320 to add to the stash. I'm pretty happy about this. I've had it at a few restaurants in town, and it's superb.

Picked up 6 bottles of SAOS that was picked by my bourbon group.  We have done 6 barrel picks this year and this SAOS is my second favorite of them behind a 12yr Knob Creek.  They make some great bourbon over in Indiana....
