That is certainly an unusual, umm, "passenger"!

Picked him up from the taxidermist today. Killed him late October. Riding until I get to the office Monday to have him put on the wall.

First time seeing SAOS up here, and this barrel of WTRR SB PS has a rich butternut finish I've never tasted in anything else! Had to pick up a second bottle!

Isn't that generally the case with the wife? Mine sure as hell is. She sees me on the patio barefoot drinking bourbon, smoking cigars, and singing horribly to my favorite country and bluegrass tunes and just shakes her head. My daughters are the same.

I console myself with the thought that at least the dog and I are of a similar level of class.

Richard!     I am surprised at you!!!    ... And, a little ashamed.     I was told you really were a dog lover.

Hearing this comparison directly from your typing fingers makes me wonder if you really care for that poor pooch at all.

Kidding!    Couldn't resist.     Cheers!!!     Repeal Day is upon us very soon.    Maybe see if you and that doggie can find a way to properly commemorate it?     I know me and my pooch are gonna!

No BTAC or pappy today after a long hunt, but I consoled myself with some stellar finds, all priced at retail.

ECBP 136 proof, another Barrell Bourbon batch 9 (fantastic, slightly better than batch 8 and way better than batch 7), 1.75 weller 12 x3, and a blantons

I really don't think the BTAC is out in TX yet, not in the local stores anyway.

I've considered pulling the trigger on the BB batch 9, but passed it up so far. I've never had any of the BB's, but this one looks the best on paper. What other bottle(s) would you compare it to? Does it taste like an aged GD, or something completely different?

I don't think I've had George Dickel so I'm not much help there. I heard someone else on here say that the batch they had tasted like dickel.

Ive had batches 7, 8 & 9 and they all have the same profile but with noticeable differences. Batch 7 was too young (5 yrs) to be a barrel proofer in my opinion, so I add water to that one and it's still pretty decent. Batch 8 & 9 were worth the money to get backups.

A 1792 High Rye founds its way home with me yesterday. Ok, now I'm done buying for 2016...for real....unless a 4RLESmB comes along....

Purschased another FR smb LE 2015 before the price starts getting really crazy. My last bottle is half way gone and I can't think about not having it again, it's too good.
