No wonder I can't find any! :)

This is from several years. I really didn't chase it.

It's just better to be lucky than good sometimes!

ECBP is one that I almost always buy when I see. Though it's getting harder to find or requires more of a scramble.

Thanks for update on 12. I was able to find one but haven't opened it yet. Just surprised to hear such universal praise of that batch.

I bought an Elijah Craig 18 today. I only bought it because I have a guy that I trade bottles with who wanted one. It was up to $150 + tax now, which is higher than the last time I saw it in my area. Is that what others are seeing it for these days? I don't track the pricing on it too closely

You guys are killing me with all this RHF. I'm down to my last bottle. I need to find some in Atlanta.

There is one available in local store for $150 which I passed on, I believe that is too high based on what I have read about it.

Is that a Traverse City Whiskey barrel proof in the background? How do you like it? I saw some last summer when I was in Michigan but hesitated due to the nearly $80 price tag. Is it better than other barrel proof sourced stuff like SAOS Single Barrels or Belle Meade single barrels?

I paid $129.99+ tax about a year ago for my bottle. So, it seems in the neighborhood but maybe a bit higher.

It's on the shelves for $129.95 right now in Oregon.

Had to grab all three, cause they were going for 25.99...  With this purchase, I'm declaring my OWA bunker FULL.

I take it Chicago received a shipment of Weller products.  It had to go straight up I-65 and right through Indy to you.  I can't believe they didn't stop to drop some off.  I haven't seen it around here for awhile.

I've only seen these at very low-traffic spots, which this place surely was.  However, earlier on this evening's run, I saw three of these at a slightly larger store -- had them in the case, and they were asking 49.99.  They also had a couple bottle of the WSR - for 44.99.  Too rich.

I enjoy it, but I have a soft spot for their product line as a whole as in my opinion it's the best I've had in the Great Lake state. I recommend their rye though, a lot more for your money and their staple xxx bourbon always makes for a great pour. The barrel proof comes through rather hot and isn't quite as rounded as the others.

Glad you answered. I'm a frequent traveler to the mitten state and have passed on the barrel proof a couple times now. Had their standard bourbon and thought it was decent. I know now to be on the lookout for the rye on my next trip up.

Honestly, I don't have a favorite. I really did think quality would drop when HH said they were bottling more ECBP. It didn't though. The latest batches are just as stellar as the early batches. Like smokinjoe said above. HH is dialed in on the ECBP profile.

Cheers, Jeff

I've only tasted the batches 6-7, they're both excellent.

Thx for your answer.

I guess with the state of the industry I found the need to grab age stated bourbon while I could.

2 x JB Black 8 year double aged stated
1 x EC12 back label statement
1 x KC 9 year stated

It was the last of the EC and JB at that store. There was a shelf full of the Knob with the age statement.

Got lucky and my name was picked in the rare whiskey lottery at my local store. Even better, pappy and btac went quickly but there was still a 4RSmB LE just waiting me. Joy!

Then stopped by my usual store to get some OGD114 and just happened to see the manager putting an easter egg out - another 4RSmB LE! I just couldn't help myself, but plan on bringing it to a bottle share next week to please the whiskey gods. 2 years without a sniff and now 2!

Congrats on the double score.  I was lucky enough to get one last year but looking pretty slim for a repeat this year.

I wasn't planning on adding any more Booker's to the stash, since I already have quite a few, but a local shop still had a bunch on the shelf, including the 2016-05 "Off Your Rocker" at just $50. Since I didn't have any of that batch, and have read some good reviews about it, I decided to pick up two for the bunker. I also picked up an additional Stagg Jr. batch 7 at another shop for $50.
