At least not until my OTHER faves catch up in price.  Biting my finger as I type that.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, when I typed; 'never say; never'.      I may rethink the hobby entirely if that comes to pass.... time will tell, I suppose.

To everyone scrambling to "beat the price hike" and stockpile Booker's.......Please ask yourself a couple of questions: 1) Do I really love Booker's? and 2)How much Booker's do I normally drink in a year? This announcement has created some irrational behavior AND that behavior is playing right into Beam's calculations. They are counting on the current stock to fly off the shelves to confirm that the product is indeed underpriced. More importantly it will clear the distribution pipeline and hasten the orders for the now $100 versions to replace the empty shelves. We are often times our own worst enemies in these situations. If a couple of bottles will see you through the year then consider only buying the two and leave the rest. If Booker's is all you ever drink then I get wanting to stash some.

Excellent advice, OD, and I like Booker's.  My answer to #1 is "Yup, " and to #2 by actual (or close, anyway) count 5 750s.  OTOH, I find it does NOT work well in cocktails unless I bring its proof down to 95 or so at which point I use JB BIB which is less than half the price at the same proof so why use Booker's and is easier since I don't have to worry about proof?  I say again - excellent advice.

Exactly. I looked at the only bottle I have, it's batch 15-02, and it's half full. So I go thru a bottle every 3-4 years or so. When I figured that out last weekend, I canceled my LS trip.

Finished my Bookers about a month ago so I broke down and grabbed the last one in the local today (Rocking chair). Also grabbed 2x OGD 114 because I love the stuff and am concerned about losing it. On a more rational note I grabbed an EWBIB and a Hugh West double rye as well.

I still don't want to believe it's true, but Beam's recent announcement does explain why in the hell a major was selling pallet loads of barrel proof bourbon for $39.99.  They're pushing the reset button!

Given that bit of enlightenment, I drove over to Costco this morning with a friend.   Upon arrival, we were shocked to see that it was still available (and still on sale).  We each proceeded to pull the trigger on Booker's x 4 @ $39.99 per.  For karma's sake, we did leave 4 behind.

A small independent store I frequent rewarded me with an ORVW10 this evening. As these get harder and harder to come by, this store came through.

The higher age PVW's and BTAC will go into their toy and food drive lottery. Every can of food and toy donated gets you an entry each into the lottery. One entry per day for both. Last year my wife won a Birthday Bourbon. In the madness that is the LE bourbon market, I fully support this way of distributing the bottles and am happy to contribute even if I don't win.

Fortunate to get the Rip in this circumstance and also snagged an ECBP 139.6 since it's such an exceptional batch.

Picked up this beast. Slim pickings on BTAC for us this year in the UK - more being distributed to bars & restaurants, and lots of little shops having their allocations cut by a lot - heard a lot of grumbling whilst doing the rounds.

Anyway, cheers!

I went back for the other dots Batch. But this is probably it. The guy apparently googled after I left and tried to charge me $100 for the last bottle. I told him he was nuts and he brought it back down to the original price. Sell it now or not at all at $100b66dc1e476114258ce346c310a810743.jpg

Thanks!

It took a lot of effort to get... Past years have been pretty easy.

I hear the stuff shows up here at times, but it is allocated. I've asked to be on the list, but I have not been contacted yet. Enjoy!

It's heavily allocated here this year, for the first time I can remember. Can't complain really, we've had it good for a loooong time.

Good finds for me!

Very nice. Wouldn't mind finding either.

Grabbed a Stagg Jr. and a 4R PS OESV from Liquor Barn.

Picked up a PVW20 and a GTS, both for MSRP. Also grabbed a Booker's (for about $40) and a WSR, once again just because I think I'll miss the current bottles when the new design takes over

Picked up 2 bottles of Booker's (both Bluegill batch) at regular price at my store of $54.99 and 1 Old Grandad BIB.  Who knows might be my last buy of Booker's for a long time.  Have quite a few bunkered.

Grabbed a FRSiB OESK (first I've had, so I'm excited) for myself. I was Christmas shopping, so I picked my dad and uncle up a bottle of Michter's SB Rye and a bottle of OWA single barrel to split. I'm jealous of the OWA, because it's apparently a non-chill filtered barrel. Decided to let them split the two bottles and see what they think.

Bought a Noe Secret at $45. Other batches were priced higher at $48 and $49. I was going to pick up an OGD114 but they were cleaned out.  There were at least twenty of them on the shelf a week ago. Passed on some Redemption 9 Year Barrel Strength Bourbon. They had two different versions. One was a high rye recipe. I think they were $89. Almost bought a bottle of Founders Lizard of Koz beer but I couldn't bring myself to spend 20 bucks on one bottle of beer.
