Work kind of slowed down for the holidays so I decided to take a drive out "west" to one of my favorite LS. Nothing much there, but I did find a bottle of EC12 with the AS on the back for $33 so I grabbed it.  On the way home I decided to try some new backroads and boy I'm glad I did. The first shop I stopped in had two bottles of ETL on the shelf for $33 so I grabbed one and left one. I then continued to peruse the bourbon selection and found a stack of EC12 750's with AS on the front and then a bunch of  1.75's 12's. The 750's were $27 and the 1.75 $44 (kicked myself for paying more elsewhere). I decided to leave those be (for now) and continued on my journey. The next stop is one of those super bright LS that sell a ton of claminitas, not a place where you would expect to find much, not a great selection, but what did I spot up top, but a bottle of OFBB!!!!

Merry Bleeping Xmas to me! A pretty great day and a whole lot of fun.

Was lucky to have been drawn for a local liquor store limited edition raffle.  I had my choice of one bottle including: ORVW, Lot B, Sazerac 18, THH, and OFBB.  I chose ORVW, because I really like the proof compared to Lot B.  Was very tempted with the Sazerac 18, but ended up with ORVW for $62.  Also picked up two bottles of Rebel Yell 10 year!

I had thought I struck out this year with limiteds, granted ORVW isn't crazy rare, but feeling thankful.  It will be opened once I finish the one from last year that I have been rationing.

Well, technically I didn't purchase it myself, but my fiancé gave me an early xmas gift of Eagle Rare 17yo. Isn't she amazing?

I'd say you probably ought to keep that one.

JW Dant BIB by the handle - was on sale, and I'd never had any.  First impression - it's like a beefy Benchmark.  Also, JB BIB in the new bottle - also on sale.  Tastes the same, though.  At $40 for the two of them, I did OK.

Thanks to a heads-up from an SB'er, I was able to grab a bottle of EWSB 2004, $29.99 out the door.

Great day after Christmas shopping!

Bottle of Booker's Toogie's Invitation for $49.99 plus tax.

There were still 4 more left on the shelf where I bought this one.

Had some holiday money burning a hole in my pocket and went to check out my local spots. Walked in to find ORVW 10yr for $80 sitting on the shelf. Couldn't believe it and promptly purchased one of the 2 bottles they had. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year!

Scored some stagg jr today. Found some ECBP at same place 3 days ago. I don't feel as guilty as when I buy them together. I also bought an empty barrel from BT that was released at a local liquor store. Gonna make a table for my cigar lounge !

I bought the Toogies and the Bluegill Creek. Each was $50 + tax. Plenty of both on the shelf. Jefferson's Very Small Batch store selected for $30.

My LS tried to sell me a bottle of it for 600! I couldn't believe it. She kept referring to it as pappy and told me some one already purchased the 12 yr. felt bad for that guy.

That means you need to find another LS to frequent. I know I couldnt continue to do business with an establishment like that as you now know will try to gouge you with any limited release.

I didn't pick it up myself, but my brother grabbed me a bottle of EW bib today. It is not available around me, so I have to get people to grab it out of state.

In Las Vegas for Christmas and picked up a FRSB PS for Total Wine. It's an 11 yr 2 mo OBSQ. I also grabbed a 12 yr Ezra B as they are never seen in my part of Florida.
