Picked up a SAOS SB. I've stocked up on some bottles with lower proofs because I find it be a unique profile over the last few months. I saw one today that was closer to 120 proof and grabbed so I could compare it an already open bottle. Or at least that was my justification for buying another bottle.

That last statement is so true, LS friend of mine says they get 8  - 10 people a day aisle surfing, not buying, just cruising, then asking for Weller 12/107, ETL etc etc then leaving.

How do you like that JB SB?  I see it all the time around here but haven't talked to anybody who has tried it.  Would be interested in hearing your thoughts.

Very nice, I actually grabbed one yesterday on a whim from Payless.  Can you share the stave selection on back?  I was able to sample my bottle (pictured below).  Very rich flavor with just enough spice.  This would be a cool barrel pick to be involved with, so many possibilities.

I picked up a MM private select at Cork & Bottle in KY with 5 Baked American Pure 2 & 5 seared French cuvée staves. I swear it tastes different every time I pour a glass. I've never had a bottle change so much on me. Sometimes I get tired of it after a couple of sips.

 

i'd be curious to taste another MM private select with a different profile.

Have never had it.  Will get to it this weekend.   Haven't tasted any Jim Beam in several years.

I've only tried one bottle and I paid $27.99 for a gift set version of it instead of the usual $35-$$45 price it is in my area. My bottle had good flavor but tasted a tad bit young. Did a SBS with JBBIB and it was nearly indistinguishable except for the lower proof.

I called them a few weeks ago when I was going to be nearby. They said no ECBP, and if they had any it would be $74.99. They wanted either $220 or $225 for EC18! Needless to say, I spent my time and money elsewhere.
