Tried this at a restaurant a few weeks ago and it was my favorite pour of any Four Roses bourbon I have ever had.  Brent Elliot did a great job with this one.

Opened with some Wild Turkey but I'm not sure the spiciness is working on the palate quite right tonight.  Had kung pao chicken for dinner.

So going back to my EC12 (which was really working last night) to smooth things out  a little .... mmm better.  I might even try a Weller12 but I don't think I have one open.

I agree, Elliot started out with a bang.  I just hope, 4R is able to sustain production of quality juice like this one.

I feel fortunate, that I found this bottle last summer.  I have been nursing it for a while.  I hope you come across a bottle, it is worth the admission price, IMHO.

Pondering my next pour.  Choices:  Rebel Yell 10 yr, Single Oak Project, Parker Heritage 24yr.

Any votes from the gallery?

Single Oak Project would be my pick, because it is the only 1 of the 3 I have not tried.

Had a very satisfying pour of the Col. EH Taylor Four Grain yesterday afternoon.    :P

I know many here are less than impressed with it; but, I like very well.    Not as complex as I had expected; but still, for what it is, it's done well, and hits a lot of my favorite taste buddies right.

A really pleasant, easy sipper; if somewhat over-priced.

I've got one in my bunker with no definite plans to open it anytime soon. Too much other stuff open at the moment. :)

It is the only 4R recipe I have, and my plans are to buy more of it.  Very easy to drink, and the flavors fit right into my wheelhouse.

Love the OESV.  Out of their 10 recipes, it is probably my favorite, but I also really like their OESQ.

I've only had a few 4R Private Selections that I've been disappointed with. The last OESV I had was very good.

Today I discovered that Old Grand Dad BIB also tastes very good right out of the refrigerator.

I had a sample of it yesterday. It's good. Every pick I've had from that store is solid.

Hard to argue with the FR PS or Limited Edition  but saw the  Rebel Yell 10yo mentioned above and recently had that. Really enjoyed it, solid pour if you can find it!

Enjoying some WTRB 112.8. I had opened it last week.  Really love the taste of this one.  Need to see if I can find another before the 116 takes over.

There is a "what bourbon is this?"started in general discussions if you want to read more. It's basically a Wild Turkey product, likely way overpriced, though at 40 dollars for  the 375 bottle, seems I paid less than others have seen it sold for. Since I am also about the only one who bit at this price, I will do a brief review.

There is no way this is worth the money. No big surprise. I would pay 35.00 for a regular size bottle. But at least 80 bucks, no way. Forgetting about price point, this is a good boubon. The color is very light. Like straw. Smell is rickhouse meets vanilla. It seems typical WT with a high rye mash bill. That's just a guess on my part. At 100 proof I am tasting with a few drops of water.

It's  very well balanced. A slightly creamier mouthfeel than 101 which always felt thin to me. The flavor is one demensional, but that one dimension is nice. The finish is long, and not much burn on this one.  This basically brings 101 up a half step . If it were 25.00 like WT101, I would buy cases, but at this price point, nope never again. It's a good bourbon, seems well made, but worth nowhere near the price.
