Isn't 'young Knob Creek' code for Beam White?

The Costco bourbon is Beam juice. 7 years, 103 proof. It says Clermont on the bottle and it tastes like Beam, there isn't much question.

I've had it. It's good. I posted more in the BOTM thread. It compares favorably to KC, and the price is right. I think it's a bottle that would be up your alley, Squire.

Here is an updated picture that includes my TPS haul. My wife also found a nice led light set that looks real good in the case. Has different colors and settings that you can set with a remote.

Great setup!!! I like the decorative still on the top.

My little bourbon corner of the world

You have excellent taste, as I can see from the West Bend Penguin Hot and Cold Server Ice Bucket (for those not familiar, it's the chrome orb sitting on the table with embossed penguins, penguin-flipper handles and a black knob on top). I've got one sitting on my early-1950's cabinet bar, radiating jet-age cool.

Fun blog post and comments on the Penguin bucket: http://offthepresses.blogspot.com/2008/11/penguin-ice-bucket.html

I was reminded of this post when I came home today at lunch and heard a not so good noise from the basement. Turns out one of the shelf pegs broke in my bourbon storage area, thankfully nothing broke but it made me rethink my storage. I have a nice cabinet I was only using for junk so now it volunteered to be a dusty storage area. ry7yvasy.jpg

Guess this is a reminder for all of us that use furniture vs wire racks to store our stashes to give then a once over occasionally

My quest to find a bottle of every Gold and Double Gold medal winner from 2011 and 2012 San Fran Spirits competition is nearly complete. Missing a Sazerac 18, Reservoir Wheat, Kilbeggan 15 year old and Midleton Barry Crockett Irish Whiskey (may never pull the trigger on this one at $240+). Going out of State tomorrow and hoping to get a Saz 18.

No photos yet, but as soon as we get into the new house I'm going to try and take some pics of everything. Here's the list I've been trying to keep up to date so I don't forget about anything. Also, I just randomly got the Slipknot reference in this thread title. Weird.

Well, here is my little stash.post-6299-14489818788497_thumb.jpg

First, the whole bar--small, but utilitarian, with sink and fridge. Then ryes, wheaters and BiBs, others bourbons, and some odds and ends. The RHF decanter is actually Old HH 8/86 (from a family size bottle not shown) and the glass decanter in the odds and ends pic is a vatting of peated scotches. Oh and I forgot my Knob Single Barrel which lives in my nightstand:grin:

I think I left a couple bottles out of the photo I forgot were in another cabinet, but by and large these are the bottles I usually keep on hand.

No doubt - I was impressed with the selection at The Bourbon Bar in Atlanta last night, but they weren't giving any of it away. $40 for 2 ounces of THH (when you can buy a bottle for $60 if you're lucky - and even at $80, charging HALF a bottle is insane; on par with charging $9 for a pour of Jim Beam white)
