Very nice. Do you like the WhistlePig I think I see that is open in the photo?

I usually have WP after I've had something else. The nose isn't that impressive to me, but the flavor makes up for it for me. Little sweet, but peppery and I enjoy something with a little spice. Nothing like Rittenhouse 100 and kind of like Baby Saz with a little extra kick. A little thin, but that seems to be a rye thing to me. Definitely worth a try. I'm not sure I agree with the WineEnthusiasts rating but everyone is different. I would put at 86/100.

i was gifted a bit of whistlepig. it wouldn't be my go-to rye, but i enjoyed it. i don't think i would have paid retail on the bottle though. as far as ryes go, i prefer WT 101 rye and Ritt BiB to the WP.

Very nice B. Did, at one point, you drink it incomplete? ?

Beautiful. Would love to find one of the wheaters.

I had 2 of the Wheaters when they came out and drank one, other than that I only ever got my hands on one bottle each and never opened them. I've always had plenty other bourbons that I've been drinking over the last 5 years which has effectively spared me from dipping into these bottles. Then as the years passed and more bottles came out I made more of a point not to drink them as they became rarer.. and now here they are!

It won't be complete until next year's release - which may be the last. When's your vertical and am I invited? ;)

Was reorganizing some stuff in the garage and took the chance for a few family portraits.

Ah, I never shared my stash before, so here's my long overdue post. Just the bourbon collection, but American Ryes and a wheat/corn whiskey or two made it in there as well. My biggest pride and joy are how many bottles are open and actively being enjoyed. A few really need to be kicked though.

My American Whiskey collection. Not surprisingly, it's almost all bourbon.

4 Roses. I can't seem to keep my 4R Single Barrels around very long it seems... Time to finish off the Small Batch too.

Beam and Diageo

Sazerac/BT. Eagle Rare is nowhere to be found. That's another whiskey that just seems to get all drank up right after it enters the collection.

Craft distilleries (the one on the top left is a mildly aged corn whiskey)

Whiiiile Turkay! I think I prefer the Rare Breed the most of the three.

Zoeller. Wish I could find some more of the old bottling of Sam Houston. That's some yummy stuff and I'm highly suspicious of whatever it is that they're selling under that label now.

Aaaaaand I'm officially tired of taking pictures now. PHC Cognac Finished there in the background. Yummy stuff.

Here's my stash:

post-10006-14489819059566_thumb.jpg

I rearranged my bookshelf in my lounge and created a shelf for American Whiskey. Many of the unopened bottles have been opened since this picture was taken. I had the guys over for baseball and bourbon. I introduced my German friends to some fine American whiskey's.

My stash next to my chair for easy access.

post-10006-14489819060718_thumb.jpg

Some of my Scotch and Irish whiskey hanging in the lounge.

post-10006-1448981906131_thumb.jpg

And the rest in my cupboard.

Foreigners: All given as gifts. The first one is a very interesting whiskey and the others, as you can imagine, are rather strong whiskeys. Uerige Stickum Plus Distilled Alt Bier Pinot Noir Barrel Aged Whiskey (Germany), Macallan 18-Year Old Single Malt Whisky 1982 (Scotland) and Midleton Very Rare Irish Whiskey 2005 (Ireland).
