Last July a friend surprised me with a bottle of Lagavulin 16 sent from Master of Malt. The first thing I thought was "holy crap, this is amazing!" the second was "holy crap, you can order whisky online?" The third was "holy crap look what you can order online!" Haha. That combined with my wife remarking at a friends house that I could never build a "bar" collection because I would drink it all too quickly...

By October I had discovered SB and the rest is a blur of friendship, drinking, research, and travel.

Awesome collection and great pictures. Open anything new since you had them out? When I had all mine out I was itching to open some bottles that had been stored away.

I'm loving the DSP-2 Dant. Found 2 bottles recently. It is way different from the 31 or 1 stuff.

Also, amazing collection Yeti.

Nice assortment of whisk/e/y there Yeti... we have some common interests, I see, in what we like to drink!

Great photos as well. Kudos on curating such a solid collection in such a short amount of time!

I love how over the top those LeNell's bottles are. The hipster label, the black wax, the embossed wax medallion, the gold handwriting with the heart, and the little rope thing.

They were all wrapped in red tissue paper and have a letter describing how each bottle was picked.. And recipes for rye based cocktails on the back.. Amazing packaging Lenell obviously put a lot of love into this product

I decided to finish putting shelves in my Bourbon Bunker (closet), get rid of the boxes.

The boxes and the organized closet.

Love it, especially the shoe holder repurposed as a barware holder. Take those Booker's off their sides before they dissolve their corks, though.

Decided to take some photos of my bottles before packing them up. The blue background shot is the unopened/bunkered bottles while the others are my currently enjoyed collection. I know some of you will say there is a criminal lack of FR in here, that's partly due to the fact that they don't stick around long. It was fun getting them all out for some family photos!

I've also been trying to reduce the number of open bottles I have so there's less to pack. Recently departed bottles include WTKS, CEHT Tornado and SmB, EWSB '00, WTR101, OEB 7yr, and JBB.

KILLER collection of open bottles being enjoyed! Love seeing all those EWSB from the 90s. Just traded for a 1993 and 1995.

Brian, I can assemble a crack squad of local SBers to take down those pesky opens for you just let me know and I will send out the BourbonBeacon! It's tough and dangerous work but we are well trained professionals.

I always pride myself on having a lot open to enjoy, but this blows mine out of the water. Love all the older wellers

Good idea except those have been consumed. I just can't seem to bring myself to throw out the boxes. Bookers is my favorite Beam product.
