No Wisconsin roots, but I spent a summer playing baseball in the Northwoods League where I was introduced to Leinie. Been a fan ever since.

post-11268-14489820874686_thumb.jpgI've been a lurker for a long time but finally signed up. Here's my stash. I'm at 133 different labels. I ran out of room in my rack, trying to figure out whether to buy another rack or what to do.

Quite a collection! Are all of those 4RSBs private selections? Which recipes?

Man you've been on a tear. Now all you gotta do is open one of those bad boys. I'd start with the 4roses because life is uncertain. :)

I think about 25 bottles are open. I'm trying to do things in moderation.

Ok let me give this picture thing a shot. I'm not sure I know what I'm doing. We'll see. post-10888-14489820882159_thumb.jpgpost-10888-14489820882159_thumb.jpg

Been a lot of turnover lately. Once I open a bottle it doesn't last long. My first bottle of FR LE smb 2013 didn't last two months. Plowed through 2 bottles of Pappy 15 last year so I am holding off on opening that as well. Opened a 11yr Willett from the gift shop and that didn't last two weeks. Trying to nurse that WL Weller but it is not looking good. Never really had a bunker before but I've been picking up a few extras here and there out of fear.

5 cent...What is in the Willet tubes? Just curious, I assume that is a barometer and thermometer on the wall. What is the item next to them?

I just spent 5 minutes trying to figure out what you are talking about to only realize I think you meant to type EvergladeSlim instead of me. Unless I am missing something. Just broke open so old fitzgerald BIB so I know I am not drunk yet. Though I have been on the road most of the weekend so maybe I am missing something.

The Willett tubes are from the gift shop a few weeks ago. 11 yr 118.6 proof. The thing on the wall is a belay pin with a barometer (my father was a sailor - it was his). Next to the Willett tubes is a 8 yr WFE that a local liquor store got a few months ago. Great for $49 but nowhere near as good as the 11yr from the gift shop.

The purge of 2014 is complete, and the home bar is installed. I have a manageable number of bottles now. Multiples of some are kept stored in the shelves not pictured, but this gives an idea of my current palate. (Many of you will be appalled by the lack of Four Roses, though.)

For the newer members, if you have not already done so....click on the first page of this thread and check out what was being bunkered in '09. It was only 5 years ago but seems like a lifetime. And Holy Smokes there were some amazing collections being built back then before every Tom, Dick and Robert Parker got into bourbon.

I post this because the current thread ( v 3.0 ) was started 5 years ago because v 2.0 was too long. So this thread may soon be replaced by v 4.0 and slip into obscurity.

edit: my personal favorite may be post #12. CASES of Weller Centennial. My desert island bourbon.

It's amazing when I look back through the older posts to see the veterans' collections. It makes me wish I would have discovered this sooner. Although I'll most likely never enjoy a pour of the older stuff, I still love to read and see images of dusty bottles :) Especially those Very Very Old Fitzgeralds.
