Quality over quantity (and quality is based on your individual preference). Looks like a great start!

Man, some of these stash photos are making me drool!

My stash is one month in the making. Thoroughly enjoying all the bourbons thus far while trying to get my nose to smell something other than alcohol burn or vanilla, caramel, butterscotch.

I have aver literally been to every liquor store within a 10 mile radius of my home. The wife inks I've lost it.

Nice start, hitting a lot of the majors!

That Russell's Reserve looks like a dusty. Is it 90 proof or 101?

Looks like you need some Heaven Hill rye-recipe bourbon (not counting probable source of Angel's Envy before it's finished) and standard Beam mashbill to round things out. Maybe an EWSB and a KC?

If you enjoy that Woodford, give Old Forester Signature a try.

Thanks amg.

Thanks for for reminding me! Have a bottle of even Williams single barrel (2004) and makers 46 sitting in the bar cart in our living room. The photo above is my "stash" (read: the wife thinks I am crazy but doesn't think I've amassed this many bottles)

the russells reserve is 90 proof. When I picked it up, I looked online as the pics of the bottle I was accustomed to seeing were different than this one. Turns out, I believe this label was used up until around 2005.

Thought I would share my modest stash. I just started building this year (with the exception of a few that I have been savoring for a while). It's small compared to a lot of the ones I have seen on here, but I think it's a decent start.post-11983-14489821925091_thumb.jpg

I have not read all 141 pages of this thread, but have browsed through many. Here is my stash, which is rather tame by SB standards with only 5 bourbons.

This is an older pic from around the holidays. Its ever evolving. I don't consider myself a collector. But I have been buying extras of store selections that I really love lately.

Finally got the "store" somewhat reorganized. A little easier to find things now. This isn't all bourbon of course nor do the shelves have room for everything unfortunately. Various and sundry bottles of other spirits and liqueurs help fill out the shelves. And there are still some bourbon and other whiskey in boxes on top and below as well as stored in a few other places around the basement and other levels of the house. Still, it is an improvement! I can now see where most of it is located!

Bourbon, rye and other American whiskey occupy the rack on the right next to the white shelf (which holds, among other things, the emergency water supply in case we lose pressure and I need a splash of water for a barrel proofer. Can't be too careful!). It also bleeds over onto the new rack on the left as well as the many boxes shown here and elsewhere.

That is about as much shelf space as my local state store has. Well done.

Whenever I start to think I have a "lot" of bourbon...someone on this website recalibrates my definition of a lot

If something bad happens we know where to go. :)

Can you give some specifics on those shelves. Those look like a good and safe setup.

The shelves are the InterMetro brand that I get from the Container Store. I use a flat wire shelf on the top and bottom and three wire "basket" shelves in between. 48" wide by 18" deep with an 8" height to the basket. Holds around 50 bottles per shelf I think. Easy to set up and keeps the bottles relative secure from wayward elbows or inadvertently bumping into them.

But are they secured to the floor? I could see a domino-effect catastrophe. :slappin:

Very impressive setup though, seriously.
