Beautiful. I am on a real Willett FE kick right now so I appreciate this shot. Want to give us a play by play?

It's called acquisition via BX and asking for rare bottles in the collectibles section every third post.

Aaaaand this is why I stopped posting here a long time ago. The hate. If you think you can eliminate people buying / selling / trading their collections, be it on eBay, Facebook, Criagslist or just personal connections, you are out of your mind. If you have a problem with me asking for bottles and doing what I want with my hard earned money I'd be happy to have a frank, face to face discussion.

Too bad guys like this still get to have access to this once great site

Nah, you never had intentions of posting on this site except to ask for stuff. Your first post was asking for Pappy. Every few posts following that have been asking for BMH 21, Van Winkle Decanters, Twisted Spoke, BTAC, 4R LE, Rare Van Winkle, JPS or other stuff.

70 posts since May 2012, half of which seem to be requests for stuff, seems to be more about abusing the good nature of others and less a meaningful contribution to the forum...guess I never noticed you stopped posting here.

Thanks detective. Glad to know you're here at the ready to sniff out guys like me.

This website has many different forums, to which one can choose to post however they like. But, guys like you sit here and judge. LostBottle the Almighty, throwing stones wherever he sees fit. Have I ever insulted or offended you before? No. So why do you care so much if I look and collect bottles that interest me so much? Why is it any of your business?

Why is it any of your business?

I hate seeing people exploiting this forum and it's generous members while contributing nothing.

Not to speak for anyone else, but by "play by play" I think he meant a list of the bottlings, which I'd also be somewhat interested in. Regardless of how they were acquired.

Yawn. Well, that's your problem.

I'll give a full rundown of the bottles pictured tomorrow.

As far as our little debate is concerned, I do understand where you are coming from, but I really believe you are wasting a lot of emotional energy on it. There are tons of members here who barely post at all, or who post for the same reasons I do. They don't contribute...and guess what...neither do I, but there is nothing in the user agreement that states you have to post X number of times before asking for such and such bottles, and Y times for asking for the really cool stuff. It is foolish to think that people who sign up for this site will "put in" whatever it is you deem is necessary in order to post for such bottles. But, just like me or any other member, you can post whatever you want and let the mods sort it out.

I will say one final thing...the people here aren't as "exploitable" as you make them out to be. If you think I can post 5 times, or 50 times, asking for things like Twisted Spoke and you think the people with those bottles are going to just hand them over, well, you really are naive. The folks with those bottles know exactly what they have and they aren't giving them up. All those posts you referenced above for all of those bottles produced: Zero. Nothing. Not a peep. Not even a 4R. So, while you extoll the generosity of members of this site (to which I agree and still come here for knowledge, which I cannot return), they aren't giving away these bunkered bottles.

Well the list is more impressive than the picture. I mean it's just a picture of a bunch if bottles, but with the context of their contents that's even more wow. It can't have been easy, or cheap, to collect all those. Well done

I'd have to agree with this statement... The SBr's here that have been around a while are pretty good about self-policing and knowing who the wolves are. That said, I've personally experienced incredible generosity from members here and I hope the few bad apples don't ruin that culture.

All in all, that's an impressive sight and thanks for sharing the picture.

Thanks for the kind words. I always enjoy seeing the pictures on this thread and I thought others might enjoy seeing my little stash.

I like the porn thread(s) myself.

I'm torn. On one hand, they're so f'n beautiful it would be a shame not to share them. On the other, it was seeing these exceptional collections last year that sent me spiraling into obsessive whiskeyrexia nervosa accumulation. :D

If it weren't for the stash threads, I wouldn't have a stash. I'll drink to that, and to the many fine collections here.

After looking at that collection... me thinks this is a porn thread! Most impressive... a perfect 10 from the Hungarian judge!

I'd add some thanks as well. Been drinking whiskey in one form or another for most of my adult life, really started to expand my bourbon knowledge a couple of years ago, then dove in headfirst earlier this year, which is when I started lurking around here. With your aid - in terms of knowledge, recommendations and even help in acquisition - and the support of a wife who at least tolerates my hobby, my own knowledge and my collection has grown by leaps and bounds.

I participated in a little tasting event a couple of weeks ago, 8 to 10 of us, everyone brought a bottle. As we were talking, I realized that maybe one or two guys knew about as much as me about the subject, but no one knew more. I couldn't have said that a year ago. Again, thanks.
