This is so very true. Each of the past few years I've bought BTAC, THH languished on the shelves for months after the release. This year it was snatched up at the same pace as each other BTAC. Not a single one left on the shelves, unfortunately.

It's because they are no longer being purchased by people who have a particular interest in the taste or know much of anything about the specific bourbons. When THH had to stand on its own merit taste-wise, it always lingered on the shelves longer (although I actually like it a lot).

Now it's just flippers and folks chasing the prestige, with no real awareness or concern for what exactly they are buying, except that it's rare and pricey.

If I follow this correctly you have the 8A-4 and the 2341 open. Rumor is these could be fairly different ages and sources. Do you note any difference between them?

Very nice bunker and GTS, buckey48.

But . . .

We are not sympathetic for you not finding more GTS. Hahaha ;) This year has been above crazy though on BTAC.

You have plenty to drink for a while on the GTS.

True I do, but that does not mean I wouldn't buy a 2013 Stagg if I found one. Saving most until after I retire 2+ years. I had 2 sources I have been buying from for years and they both cut me out of the loop. That wasn't very nice

Holy Bourbon docbible!! Very impressive collection. You just gave the term "love your dentist" a whole new meaning.

Thanks guys! I didn't realize the extent of my problem until I took them out of the boxes. It all started back in 2002 when weller 19 was discontinued and I lost my favorite pour. Then the quest to try everything kicked in. Now I'm trying to fill in the gaps of what I've missed. The journey never ends but the velocity slows. I enjoy sharing with others and watching their appreciation and knowledge of bourbon increase. Passing on the addiction. Tim

Excluding a bunch of duplicates in the bunker and 1.5 liter bottles.

Is it bad when you have to use the panorama function to take the picture :-)

Does this belong to someone here? Came across this randomly while googling awhile back and was awestruck.

Ridiculous!

Forget the wheaters, I want that pearl white dryer!

If I'm not mistaken, that's not a dryer, it's a top-loading washer. From back before the regulations changed and everything went to crap. Where did you find that dusty?

I will give you a Tip of the Hat Fine Sir.. Years ago I treasured my Old Time Rye.. No mind you I am going on memory.. I kinda recall it being 10 years old and in the short squat bottles.. It was a wonderful pour.. I am very jealous of your stash.. I had one equal to many years ago.. Oh the memories.. Creggor

Someone please help this SB member find a Hurley Machine Company of Chicago "Thor" model washing machine, hand-selected by master-machinist Alva J. Fisher.

On topic: just today, I was *this* close to posting up my stash, with its one lonely grey-label W12 1.75 ... then pics like this flood the thread.

Hey, the grey paper label W12 is no slouch. It's some fine drinking!

Yes, it is mine, but it looks to be from ~2011. Much as been added and deleted since then.

Yes, that is right, 8A-4, 2341 and 13G152 (since the picture was taken) are open. I like them all and find them to be fairly similar. There are differences but I am not sure if I would be able to pick them out of a blind lineup. I would certainly love to try. For me, the 8A and the 13G are more similar, more caramelized wood and dried cherries, sweeter. The 2341 is dryer with more bitter/tannic woodiness.

Must have missed this earlier! Apprecaite your comments on them. Seems to be little rhyme or reason for the barrel numbers. When you can find it at all!

Here is my current bunker and my opens. I was sent home from work early today in the snow, so I had some free time on my hands. I know I have a few more open somewhere, but I didn't feel like tracking them down.
