I’d say that’s a sure sign of an impending nationwide price increase. They always have things priced a little above suggested retail prices at the gift shop, but it’s usually not more than 5 or 10% over MSRP if I remember correctly.

Truth be told, in todays market, a 10 year single barrel 100 proof offering is under priced at $32..... which was part of the appeal of HM10. Sure some barrels are better than others but that is a lot easier to overlook at $32. I’d expect is to land $45-$49 in my market.

Wish HH would put this back in the barrel program.

Just saw my county raised prices from $30 to $37 but still haven’t had in stock for months.

Total wine put McKenna 10 in the lock box this week. So that i where it is headed in Columbia SC. Another store had Four Roses small batch (90 proof) behind the counter.

In other news, bourbon culture can be stupid.

Our friends in Florence have marked it up slightly.

Sold out here....except 1 place.  Limit 1.  The price has gone up 2 times in 2 weeks.  $35 to $39 to $43.   Still better than $99.

Henry McKenna isn’t really in my wheelhouse. Still, I’m having second thoughts about passing on one a few days go for $34.99.  :P

That’s the Montana price, when you see it.

What a joke.... For $30 it was a nice take on HH's standard mash bill.... For anything over that.... Elijah Craig for $19.99 it is.

Back when EC went NAS and OGD114 was rumored assassinated, one of the wizards here predicted HM10BIB was next.

I started hunting honey barrels then and have a case or so of it now, so thanks to the wizard who warned of this day.  I see this bottle all the time now at $50-100.  PfffTT!

$50 to $100 is laughable. At $30 HMcK10 was a good buy. At $35 it still is but I'd rather have a good EC PS for $27 to $30.

As of last week, a local store has it for retail, I would've bought some, but that batch is just not my cup of tea.

My local guy got a bottle in for me today, but he's selling it for $50 now. I was hoping for $40

I have a few bottles , that I bought a few years ago.  Cracked one open last year and it's good,  but I wouldn't pay more than $35.00 for it.

It's nuts how much the price went up. Even at the HH Heritage center, last week, they were charging $54.00 a bottle, with a 1 bottle limit.  Pass.

I doubt I'll see it on shelves in my area for under $50 any more, nor shelves in most other regions for that matter.

$40 my represent an actual "bargain" by comparison to most areas of the US.   Your call of course; but, prices may go up rather than down as supply is under continued (& increasing?) pressure of the taters seeking it any price.....

Just say no. It's not worth paying a premium for since there are so many other good bourbons for the same $35 MSRP price point.

I’m actually surprised that it seems to be maintaining a price point of just under $40 in most shops in my area, but time will tell, of course, if that price point can continue.

Henry McKenna is a just fine bourbon, but I don't get it being more than $40 or so.  It was a great value at $30-$35.  Once it gets higher than that you can find better at the price point.

I also think that smart enough people will realize that:

1.  Whiskey awards are mostly pointless

2.  They won this award for a special pick honey barrel and there is a ton of variation for single barrel products.  The bottles everyone is rushing out to buy are not as good unless they magically get that exact barrel.

The only reason I really had to think on it is the ability to get stuff down the road since I seems to have got in good with him. In the end I decided to take a pass. If I kept going down that road I would overpay by hundreds a year just to overpay more on the one or two items that I do really want. At the end of the day its all just bourbon.
