lcpfratn
End of the weekend pour, and not sure there is another whiskey I might choose over it. I have loved every single pour from this bottle. I hate to take the last pour and put it down, but I saw one at a local last week that I can pick up to replace this week. I agree with you. It’s hard to beat for the money, and is readily available in my area.
Vosgar
After all the discussion in flahute's Irish/Scotch thread, I decided on having some Glentaucher's 17yr PS by That Boutique-Y Co. tonight. Only 72 375ml bottles in this batch #3 and I'm fortunate enough to have 3 of them. Wonderful whisky!
Marekv8
Offerman Lagavulin 11— meaner and dryer than than the 16. Very different mouthfeel without the secondary sweetness— a nice comparative dram.

Marekv8
Ardbeg 10 at the bar with lunch... unfortunately rare to find this on-premise.
Marekv8
Sky Club Glenmorangie 10 with a splash of Whistlepig 15. Was the bartender’s idea— certainly adds a bit of spiciness to The Original.

Kind of like a "Wealthy Man's" Spios, I'm sure the WP 15 is a healthy upgrade from whichever craft casks that one was finished in.

The story here is that Delta Sky Club has WP15, Air France needs to get there stuff together they only have JD and like Dewars.

Yes— but without the wealthy man, unfortunately. He was nice enough to give me the closures.
GaryT
Tasted through some new Jameson Caskmates (Revolution Brewing - First City Chicago Pale Ale Finish, Bale Breaker - Topcutter IPA Finish, and the classic Stout) which was interesting. The Stout reminded more of classic Jameson than the others (some stout influence, but the others have a finish that leaves me feeling like I just sipped a beer). Finishing up tonight with a dusty CB Hedonism.
Vosgar
Ballechin 11yr Manzanilla Sherry cask matured. Cask strength at 109.2. Even though this is the peated version of Edradour, the sherry cask really subdues the usual smoke/iodine etc notes. More than I remember from previous pours, especially on the nose. Kind of dessert like tonight

Austin, Texas— and that pour was during a client meeting. Hopefully I’ll be able to sneak a trip to Spec’s tomorrow.

Marekv8
Oddball "Texas Resort Rule" that prohibits serving 100% spirits drinks sans ice--- meaning that my gratis Glenmorangie 12 LaSanta ended up with the tiniest of ice cubes from a very apologetic server.
Vosgar
Laphroaig 15 tonight. Love everything about it except it's just a bit thin at 43% abv.
