Just found out earlier this week that my brother-in-law has ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). So tonight he wanted to sit by a fire. So I pulled out a Pappy 20y to share with him.

A friend had lost his wife to cancer a few days ago, and to give him a little pick-me-up I told him at the funeral parlor I'd stop by his home with a couple nice Bourbons to raise in her honor after s

Had a little tasting today at the Loch & K(e)y Society.     A pre-game photo to get fishinbowljoe's heartbeat up and running, eyes dilated, and breathing heavy.     ?

It's big and oaky. I brought this out during our rye night. I think everyone liked it, but we were pretty deep in pours at that point.

Had a pretty good day in the office today, so decided to open a Barton BIB 6 yr.  it does get one to question one’s situation when opening a $10 bourbon is ones celebratory pour... :D

I like your style. You are my brother so this is no surprise.

When it's a whiskey you like, who the hell cares? ?

I happen to really like that bourbon and have 2 of the age stated bottles left. As I've said before, I prefer this one to the old HH6 BiB. Believe me, it'll be a celebration whenever one of them gets opened.

I have bottle 7023 from that same barreled on date!  I have not opened it yet as I already have another bottle of that open.

Back into my 2013 OFBB tonight and man, this is outstanding whiskey! When it comes to Old Forester, their bourbon is kind of hit or miss with me but this one is excellent.

Hope it’s better than mine in the same barrel range. Been killing it slowly with hot toddys.

it Has been a long day already, as I have been up since 3:30 am for a trail race that was over an hour away. Decided on some liquid candy while waiting for the big college football game to start. Just hope I stay awake long enough to cheer a Tiger victory.

The past 2 days my brother and I have driven 1,200 miles, loaded all our Mom's belongings in a truck, and got her moved to STL. During that time everything that needed to happen in order for the Sooners to make the playoff have happened. I'm not terribly optimistic about their chances, but nonetheless I'm having a relaxing celebratory pour.

Hope this works. First image I've uploaded. Pulled from the back of the closet. Glad I have a bunch of spare corks, as this one fell apart when I pulled off the wax and opened this bottle today.

Ezra B single barrel, bottled August 2011.  Tastes pretty good.

Brings back memories.  The EW SiB 2008 was the last EW SiB I bunkered after tasting.  Alas, all five are gone now, consumed over early this Summer IIRC.

Um, were you watching the same game I was?  I'm pretty sure OU won by beating Baylor (whom I was slightly favoring because I like bears).  Haven't seen an OU game that good since (1) the Sooner Schooner got stuck in the mud and (2) they beat the snot out of Nebraska back in the early 1970s.

I know it’s probably in vain but hoping my hometown Hoos pull a big upset. They are playing well but made a couple big mistakes. More offense than Clemson usually allows so far.

This PS was hitting all the right buttons last night so decided to kill it and doing the same tonight.

Now for the second half. Staying with Heaven Hill sourced juice since it’s treating me so well.

Just realized you were talking about LSU not Clemson.
