Jameson Bow Street today.  I haven't had a ton of Irish whiskey, but at $130 for 18 year cask strength, maybe it's time to start.

What a great set of 10s— all well balanced and heartily representative of their respective distillery. The Ben Nevis 10 is the Steve McQueen of Scotch.

I've just cracked the Ben Nevis 10 and somehow you've managed to capture it perfectly. This stuff is rugged and meaty, but with a gentle charm.

The Daftmill was a huge surprise... and a cool affirmation of good karma.

Saw these today, no price tag, aisle clerk claimed close to $200 which seems excessive, but I know little of the Daftmill.

I think the MSRP is $250.00. Funny that it’s just laying around.

Crazy I’m sure in the UK it’d be gone by now.

Sorry no images, but a 26yo Aberfeldy Exceptional Cask Series, a 19yo Craigellachie Exceptional Cask Series, a freaky independent 10yo Royal Brackla and a 2019 OFBB to keep it from being an all Bacardi party. Hope everything survives the flight — I was a bag shorter than usual.

No willpower yesterday. Saw Lag 16 for $72.99 and bought 2.

I don’t blame you...that price is below current wholesale cost in many markets with the 25% tariffs currently in effect!

I've reasoned that the impending tariff scare will level up prices on SMSW permanently in the US.

So, I've been stocking up accordingly.

I grabbed a $70 Lag16 last week also.  Glengoyne 12, Springbank 10, Ardbeg "Oogie" also made the cut.  I originally went back to that particular fishing spot for two more dusty bottles of the Benromach 10, which has absolutely enchanted me.

It was an expensive box of booze.   I've found a spot for Armagnac so that's the next big splash.  Need me a big return from Uncle Sam.

I would’ve bought a case. That’s 2005 pricing.

They only had 2 on the shelf. I originally grabbed just one, started walking to the cash register, said screw it and went back for the other one. However, I never asked if they had more......

Was disappointed (but not surprised) that a honey hole of dusty Compass Box finally dried up.  Consoled myself with a Balvenie 15yr SB Sherry Cask for $115.

My Balvenie 15 Sherry SC is starting to open up a bit.  Lovely dram.

This is my first bottle (tried one at a gathering last year and loved it; hoping this particular single cask will be close to what that one was!)  Love the higher proof NCF (and of course the sherry!)

I was concerned about variation in the Balvenie 15 as well.  I have no complaints, and it would be interesting to try several casks SBS.

I can't be blamed when whiskey deals jump out in front of me.  There I was, minding my business, and this 18 year old Tomatin demanded adoption at $75 otd.  Eighteen year old Integrity bottling of SMSW for less than a Benjamin.

After trying some Tamdhu samples, bought my first bottle this morning - Tamdhu Batch Strength #4.  Hadn't sampled this variety yet, but optimistic at $90 I'll be happy with it.

I found a few bottles of Tomatin 18 for around that price awhile back and couldn’t resist either.
