Two recent acquisitions. I enjoy the peat levels of Springbank 10, HP 12, and Lagavulin 16 but strongly dislike Laphroaig 10. Where does the intro level Longrow peated fall on that spectrum?

Nice pair— I’ve got to get up to Binny’s soon. The baby Bunna looks crazy interesting.

Certainly the second and third— but I doubt you’ll be encountering any huge oak.

Wow, agreed, since I've tasted a 2004 G&M Bunnahabhain 7yo I've been keeping my eyes open for young Bunna. Very unique flavors. Btw. my 7yr bottle was way lighter in color than this 4yr.

Thanks to fishnbowljoe and The Boss for freeing up some coveted attachment space for posting-- I'll try to knock 'em down as much as possible in regard to image size. Here's a crazy 15th Anniversary bottling-- 10 years in Fresh Oloroso plus another 5 in refill bourbon-- a good 9.5 on the opacity scale.

Welcome back. FWIW, The Boss deserves all the credit. I just passed the info up the ladder. ^_^

If he keeps posting pictures like these, he can have my attachment space as well.

That looks like another Campbeltown Stunner, Mate!!

Thanks Steve, I've got a wee bit of catching up to do (although the recent bottle move has certainly altered my buying habits).

Agreed-- I'm hoping it's as interesting as the specs read, although it's going to be a tough follow-up to the recent Longrow 11 Sauternes.

That brings me right back to Atlanta circa 1993.

From a well-run liquor store near the hotel-- it was in their system, discounted as a Glenlivet.

I may return prior to my meeting tomorrow for a rather tempting Laphroaig-- but hopefully not.

I just bought this one as well. That color was indeed hard to pass on!

Agreed, I picked up this Brackla just the night before-- dark days indeed. This one states refill vs. fresh-- must have been a crazy 11 years.

Wow! The label states it's a refill cask and natural colour and it's that dark??? That must've been some intense sherry.

Yes and yes— it doesn’t really add up, but I wasn’t going to pass— especially given the rarity of off-standard Royal Brackla.

This started with a conversation about bottles that are held for people that never get picked up. This was all I could carry today, so I'll have to come back for the balance.

Round two for the night... I'm already at luggage capacity, so this might be it for the trip. The young Samaroli Caol Ila looked too "Samaroli" to pass up.
