Flyfish
Sipping a little post-Christmas 4R, got to thinking of Brad Paisley and Peyton Manning visiting "Peytonville" where all the "residents" have backstories like the lady who wants to retire and become a yoga instructor. Four Roses, of course, has a famous backstory about a wedding proposal and acceptance. Other bourbons have backstories that are almost as credible. Some might even be true. Come on, they might be. Bbstout
Elijah Craig created bourbon when his barn caught on fire and the Barrel magically charred from the inside.
Harry in WashDC
"This is the same rye Al Capone drank." I didn't believe it until I tasted it. Thought I'd learned in Scout Camp not to drink unknown stuff from a bottle that the guy holding it said, "This is good stuff.". Guess I relearned.

Yep, that's one of my favorites too. Also find it amusing that HH has two, count them, bourbons named for The Father of Bourbon: Elijah Craig and Evan Williams.

You beat me to this one. I love these backstories though. Nothing like walking into a liquor store on a late Friday feeling wasted after work, and telling the unlucky rep reciting these to cut the crap and hand me a WT101. And I'm only 35, I'm sure I'll be insufferable when I get older.
