The more things change the more they stay the same. I had a double sized pour (or more) last night and I must say it was delightful.

Joe ^^^ This is is the proper ratio for SB members! Well done. Unfortunately it seems like the "What bourbon did you purchase" thread outnumbers the "What bottle did you open" by what seems like must be about 10 to 1. Sigh.

Big hit of caramel in the nose. Viscous as all hell (like you’d expect). Finish that quickly builds. Very nice. I’lld be on the lookout for more.

I was tasting this bottle in the L&K room during the last "Go Whiskey" week at Julio's in February. You can be assured that "Al WAS right" with this one. Didn't last the day as the most popular pick of the L&K picks we were handing out. Nice that I had to frequently check on "Quality Control" levels on the samples, tho'. Good thing I still have one in the bunker, eh?

Side note; every time I post a Loch and Key pick you comment how great they are. Either Ryan has the hookup when it comes to picks or he’s paying you. I cannot attest to the cask strength as it’s never touched my lips. The tones of sweet regard a vanilla bean syrup. Coffee and nutmeg spice. Call me crazy or slightly enjoying my second pour.... this is the fall pumpkin spice of bourbons! At $50 a bottle, slightly chilled it’s above your standard pour at a reasonable price. We picked the "V" barrel from that exact same rick/row. 2nd to last one out near the outside wall. I tried to get the "W" barrel from Hi Time wine in CA, but no luck.... it sold out faster than I could respond. Would have been a fun sbs. I think our pick was fantastic. Not just saying that because we picked it. I couldn't believe it was an OESQ during the reveal.
