Sgtspitter101
I have been staying away from beam products in general since i have tried a few products from the beam line, kc non age stated and ogd100 and not cared for any of them. I am wanting to pick up a bookers but in the last 2-3 batches which one would i want to pick up?

I haven't tried any of the 2020 batches but I did really like 2019-04. 2020-01 is somewhat controversial. Reportedly very "peanut buttery" which some love and some don't. Ace1943
My favorites at the moment are the 2018-04, the 2019-04 and, lately, the 2020-02. There are few Booker's that I don't really like, but these three, at the moment at least, are standing out to me.

Its amazing how unique the three are. They are all good however!
Patrick_OKC
I don't think it really matters. Just a few short years ago, bookers was a spectacular $38 nosefull of high abv Bourbon, and there were no batches. Just buy it if you want it
Mako254
KC store picks scratch my beam itch.... at twice the age and half the price as Booker’s.

I am in the minority that thinks Booker's is not a very good bourbon. Too corn forward (young) and abrasive on the palate and finish (again young). I really think I might like it quite a bit in the 8 year range. Either way, it's too expensive for what it currently provides. I have a friend who shares my thoughts, but he still has a bottle so I revisit from time to time with the same results.

I keep an open bottle handy but I’d be much more likely to buy ‘sweet tater batch xx’ at 7 yrs 10 mos for $85 than ‘taters cousin’ at 6 yrs 2 mos for the same $85. When is the last batch that was AS at north of 7 yrs??

The Blanton’s is really tasty the grand Mayan reserve tequila I very interesting. Sweet agave on the front followed by a mineral finish. Apologies for posting this in the wrong thread. For me Booker's has the Beam profile in spades. Having said that, I really enjoy Booker's. It has a red fruit note, that I really enjoy. I suggest you just purchase any batch at the lowest price you can find and give it a try. There is negligible differences between today's batches. Not around here anymore. It used to be always available when it was $50. Now that it's north of $70, it seems to sell out very quickly and I never see in on the shelf anymore. I think collectors are chasing each new batch when it comes out. And this as the AS is trending downward. Booker's used to be my go to barrel proofer but I've stopped buying it now. I'll take ECBP over it any day.

fishnbowljoe
For the most part, Booker’s is in upper $80’s around here. The last one I bought was just after Beam/Suntory announced the price increase. I paid $47.99 for it. Biba! Joe

Paddy
I find Booker’s to be generally more refined than KCSB. But I love the bold, brash, oaky flavor bomb of the latter. The value of KCSB over the years is also reflected by the copious amount of it in my bunker. But, when I want to treat myself to a classic, high quality Beam profile, I will gladly reach for a Booker’s...

As much as I love them both, I don’t love either of them for those prices.
