Just watched The Fred Minnick Show with guest Derek Trucks. Since I am a fan of Derek, it was an easy watch for me. Fred sent him some bourbons to try and the shared a few quarantined pours.

(on youtube)

Kinda Kool!!!

I would watch more of Minnick's shows if the run times weren't so darn long. Hopefully his people will see this and relay the message. ?

I do find his stuff entertaining and more informative than other content out there.

Thanks so much for posting to the show. Derek's a huge bourbon guy. He's got some tasting skills, too. Another one, Ashley McBryde, who's up for a Grammy. Over the year, I've sipped bourbon with Mick Fleetwood, Ludacris, Killer Mike, Daryl Hall and more. And damn is it fun!

I am glad you pointed out the length. These are podcasts  and to edit them down is a ton more work / $ to have somebody do it. I've tried to start putting chapters in there, and the artist fans really prefer the whole episodes. And you know how I am, when I get to drinking bourbon with somebody, the damn conversation can go off the rails fast and we just keep going. Hehehe. Thanks again for sharing. Cheers!

1 Post? Did you re-join? Enjoyed the videos by the way.

No. I lost my former username password and used a new email. A friend emailed me this thread and figured I'd hop on for the chat. Cheers!

Keep up the good work Fred. Enjoy your content and tasting insights a lot.  Special request to target those taste-offs to 1 hour though. ?

I do really enjoy seeing how the process works, interesting stuff and thanks for sharing.

Thank you, sir. What part of Oklahoma are you from? I grew up in Jones and graduated from Oklahoma State. Go Pokes! I do enjoy this forum and have written about its importance in my book, Bourbon: The Rise, Fall... I also miss the days when I could hang out in forums.

Fred, you’re always welcome to hang out here.  As for the regular posters, we’re a small group of mostly purists.

You’ll find that we’ll give you just as much of a hard time as we do each other.?

BTW, do you mind sharing where you purchase most of your cravats?  I’m looking for something in orange...

I have always loved this forum! But I get in here, having a good time, and never get any work done. LOL.

I buy most of my ascots from second hand stores or Europe. Amazon is starting to stock them, but they're mostly shitty. A couple East Coast retailers have them. BUT the best place in the country is a tie shop in Union Station Washington, D.C. Most random find of my life. They had 400 different ascots, I shit you not.

Fred, some people might give you sh*t, but I think you're a good dude.  Anybody who can carve out a niche and a living drinking, talking, and writing about whiskey has gotta be doing something right!

Keep on keeping on, man!

Prost!!

Hi Fred. You know me from a different circle. I'm a Bourbon Crusader.
